The WD (Durango) is getting the 5.7 and 6.4 but not the 6.2 Hellcat.
Dang! I don't see a JT 5.7 or 6.4 and TK said it's coming.

Toledo Supplier Park builds the Gladiator, Wrangler is built at Toledo North. No change to Wranglers calendar.

Wrangler 4xe is safe. He's talking different line. IT's still a huge part of JLU sales, not going to cancel it any time soon, and I have heard from inside ZF and it's a forum person I made a promise to (no, I'm not in a hotel) that we can look forward to a new 4xe transmission soon.
We've read about the new ZF transmission coming out - it was confirmed by a ZF employee. It will allow the JLU more range, more HP and torque, even on the same battery pack they currently use.
The JLU 4xe is safe for a while. ZF ain't going through all of that for nothing. And even though the percentage of JLU sales that are 4xe has dropped off a bit, it's still a healthy market piece.

Hang on, it is in the works and they are about to turn a corner on getting past those issues. 🤔

Even my HD tranny makes that clunk in the JTRD and sometimes a clicking noise... 🤦🏼‍♂️

It's specific to the 4xe. Has the main drive motor and clutch up front where a torque converter would be.

I've never experienced a hard clunk going into any gear, or any weird or odd shifting, so I've got nothing to go by, no point of reference.
i will say that the transmission in our 23 4xe is probably the smoothest, quietest, best shifting transmission I've ever had. You can't tell when it shift - it's so subtle, if you don't have the display set for displaying the gear it's in, you might not know it shifted (with the engine running you can watch the tach, of course.)

I'd have to compare the numbers again, but I suspect your diesel version is like the 4xe back half - handles higher torque numbers.
Could be wrong, but thought there was something to that.......... man, now I'm doubting that so need to look up the 4xe transmission number again.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a 4xe section so people could discuss it instead of using a V8JT thread?
Oh wait - 🙃
