Very much. Weighed rim and tire together. 80.5 to be exact. That's why I choose those wheels aside from looks. Previous aftermarket wheels were nearly 30 pounds.![]()
you sure about that?!

Insane! I did double check, apparently Discount gets a different part number than you can buy from the manufacture. I am picky about my wheel look but I also sit about 73lbs a corner so, I can't complain.Very much. Weighed rim and tire together. 80.5 to be exact. That's why I choose those wheels aside from looks. Thanks so much for the heads up, yeah 4.88s seem the "standard" and can't really go wrong.Just saw this thread. I have 4.88 gears on my gladiator, (for years) on 37s, and I tow constantly with them. Your mechanic is really, really bad.
Sorry if this was already covered.

You'll be fine dude. go with whatever is cheaper. Thanks so much for the heads up, yeah 4.88s seem the "standard" and can't really go wrong.
And thanks to everyone, especially @Zachanadandy, @Gladiator85 and @PuddleJumper who all put a good amount of time into this conversation.
I won't leave here with my final opinion as frankly I'm not educated enough to promote it, and seems the concencus is either 4.88 or 5.13 will work fine, although one or the other is wasted gears or sub-optimal but neither will inherently break the Jeep... which is what I'm most worried about.
See you on the trails... just hopefully not with a broken Axel![]()
