Well we know Installing the 5.7 Hemi, or any Hemi is not a monumental redesign. AMW4x4 has done it and it is a proving setup. Which leads me to this conspiracy theory.

I can not back anything up as I can not remember which video I heard it in I was watching and a short comment was made. "AMW4x4 has some exciting news coming". That was about the jest of it and I just assumed at that point they would be coming out with a new package or something.

Then I watched TK's video and got to thinking, what if Jeep does some upgrade options that goes through AMW as an option. No tooling or redesign would be needed on Jeeps end, just ship the completed package to AMW, minus the engine and trans installed. AMW does their thing and now you have a "factory" V8.

Now I may be completely off on this but wouldn't that be cool?
I remember reading an article stating Jeep was doing some factory special orders through certain dealerships offering modifications beyond the normal options. I tried looking for that article again before, but couldn't find any info on it. Maybe it was all a dream...

The good brother TK from TK"s Garage is reporting that Jeep is finally going to put a hemi in the gladiator next year. I really hope this is true. I copy the link below to his video.

The 5.7 + the 6 speed would be  6th would actually be capable of maintaining speed without digging into the throttle.

RIP manual JT

The sweet spot for a hemi based JT is going to be about $50k based on the average amount we've all paid for our JTs to date.

Or make it a damn option package like the diesel was and in theory it should be cheaper then the $4150 because the hemi won't have all of the emissions shit.

My Rubi stickered for like 58k. This is probably teh only new vehicle i'll ever buy myself. The 392 wrangler is way too expensive. Damn fun to drive though. FT 4x4 is lame imo though but makes sense.

Not if it costs $100K. It's still a $30K truck at best.
Not in today's economy. $30k brand new? Maybe stripped of options
and with crank windows and little tiny street tires.

A loaded truck, like a Rubi, with a Hemi would be a really good deal at $55k. A Sport with the Willys package and a Hemi would destroy the competition if they could price it under $38k or so. We won't see that, but who would buy a Tacoma or anything else if you could have that truck equipped with a V8 for under $40k? It would change the game. You'd have to pry my JT out of my dead hands, but my grip would get loose for that kind of deal.

I agree Jeep is having discussions on what It would take to save the Gladiator. Whether they do it or not we’ll just have to wait & see. I think this V8 is on a Very short list of things they’d have to do help sales enough to keep making them.
I just bought one, did that help?

I'd suspect something more like the ramcharger 1500, but probably not as much electric range: https://www.ramtrucks.com/electric/ram-1500-ramcharger.html
🙁 Just..... No. They will lose their azz if they continue to heavily invest in EV's IMO. The ONLY reason they're as successful as they are is government regulations & financial incentives. Again... Just my $.02.

Dangit, just give us an inexpensive V8 option. Or bring back the diesel at least. I don't want some high tech stressed out turbo V6 (hurricane) with dubious reliability.

Who here is old enough to remember “Yenko” Chevrolet? They would put any performance component that GM produced into their special builds.
Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if that existed for the Jeep?

I would sell my family up the river for a gladiator with a hemi and manual transmission, but since Jeep hasn't put a stick behind a V8 since the CJ-7 there is no hope for me. i'll just continue to be glad I got the only year of the RubiconX 6MT.

Not old enough to remember it but am familiar with Yenko and their monster Camaros.

The best case scenario in this case is for a known swap shop like AMW to get factory support (IE warranty) like AEV used to have years ago with the Brutes.

You either order it from your local, it gets shipped to AMW, swapped, and sent along with a full factory warranty OR the dealers can order it directly and throw it on the lot like those Black Widow dress up packages and it still carries the full factory warranty. And the dealer gets the financing.

Jeep is already planning on a hybrid version this year. I doubt they would invest in a V8 version when things are already more compact and efficient. Listen, I wished they did a V8 with a 6 speed, that would be amazing. The reality is that it's a mid-size pickup, the mpg of a V8 would not meet regulations (as you mentioned) and the JT is currently preforming poorly in its market segment.
