There are many valid reasons to go with the Recon if you were looking at a loaded Rubicon to begin with. I'm still torn between a JT and JLU and if I go the JLU route I'm stuck between the Recon and Rubi.So why the Rubicon Recon ? The only difference my Hard Rock Rubicon and my sons Recon model is basically different decals on the hood and red seat belts. The mechanical spec are exactly the same (both JKs 2016 and 2017). For the JL Recon, the biggest difference is the 2 cyl turbo engine. Not worth the $5000 higher price IMO.
Many of us that want a loaded Rubi and do the math find out that it ends up being the same cost or cheaper in some scenarios to go the Recon path because many of the add ons are already bundled in the Recon for a discounted price.
