So my Rebel Off-road Half rack is now installed. The total shipping weight was something like 226 lbs. I figure 5 lbs of that is cardboard. So I’m now running with a constant Load (for argument sake) of 220 lbs on in the bed. It looks to me on the factory Rubicon springs It ended up leveling out the Gladiator... *pic on a street with a slant to the right.

Jeep Gladiator A different kind of lift question/quandary... D3BC9218-5BAC-4319-BC40-F9BBED7F978C

It weighed it down enough that on a recent road trip I was getting flashed a few times so I lowered the headlights a bit.

Anyway.... I’m thinking about a 2.5 Mopar lift primarily for looks but I also want to maintain the factory warranty as much as possible.

I‘ll run with the rack 100% of the time but plans include a RTT weighing 132 additional lbs (stored when not in use). 35”s will be in the near future. I like to off-road level 5 like trails but no real hardcore stuff.

I’ve never ran a truck with a lift so I’ve been learning a lot from this forum but am concerned that the rear Mopar springs will be not enough for my use case.

Am I wrong to worry about the Mopar rear springs? I’m willing to consider other options but price is a factor.

Suggestions and as much rationale as you want to provide is appreciate. Thanks in advance!

Let me break it down.

Total shipment 236lbs. Includes Rack, table mount & table and Lite Rider tonneau cover.

Rebels site list the following:

Half Rack = 150lbs
Table Mount= 25lbs
Table = 27lbs (stored when not going camping)
Lite Rider = 20lbs
Total = 222lbs
Total when not camping = 195lbs

Id personally go with the AEV Dual Sport lift. Youll probably end up adding bumpers and winch and lights and more gear etc.

Nothing against the mopar, it seems like a fine factory option. But they made it to fit bigger tires under the jeep. Aev made the dual sport for carrying a constant load.

AEV is mopar approved for warranty, too.

If you're looking for a lift capable of handling all of that extra weight plus maintain your factory ride quality, either our Overland+ or Ride Right+ kits would be a great option! Our springs utilize a much higher spring rate than even most aftermarket options on the market and are very capable of handling heavy payloads and maintaining your vehicle's rake. Not to mention, maintenance-free joints, designed and built in the USA, and of course our lifetime guarantee! :)
