AdBlue DEF - Interpreting New Date Code?

My local Costco had AdBlue DEF on sale for the first time in a while so I picked up a box. However, it seems to have a new type of date code I haven't seen elsewhere. All the other guides to interpreting codes I've seen have a different code format... seems that they may have switched this year. Any ideas?

Some products use “year + 1” as the year designator, then either “day number” or “days remaining” as the day designator.
If that is the case here, date of manufacture is May 1, 2022 or September 1, 2022.
CP7 is the plant code.

Julian code date, year +1 = 23 and the 121 is the countdown to the years end. That puts it about August.

DEF being good for over 3 years would be news to me... everything I've read says within 1 year, or 2 under "ideal conditions." I'd be surprised if it was good longer, at least on the box.

Higher the storage temp. The less lifespan in it.

From what I understand, old DEF can cause all kinds of issues with your emissions system as the urea degrades over time (especially with heat).

Just a guess, 23121 could be a compressed version of ISO 8601 (YYYY-MM-DD),
so good until December 1st, 2023.

Though I wasn't aware of the method @ColoradoDennis mentioned, which is probably closer to the truth ?
