You and my son........... he's into making things and programming the Raspberry PI. And better yet - he's got his 8 year old son programming stuff, too. I wish inheriting stuff could go backwards a generation.

I do jump at opportunities for automation, that sort of thing. When I was told what I could get for hearing aids I never hesitated - said I want the ones that interface with other devices, use bluetooth and I can program with my phone. But now when I'm walking around the house talking it makes my wife wonder.......... phone call, honey, phone call. Then it drives her nuts as she can't hear the conversation!

i was going to do the voswitch setup, but i found out I could go wireless for much much cheaper. (like 30$). Not have to run any firewall wires, and be able to integrate into my garage door opener. Works great for me.
What did you end up using? This sounds pretty great

I have a Voswitch, there is a trigger wire to be tied to ACC that will have everything on panel only work in ACC or run, or you can hook it direct to battery and everything works when you want, and there is also a master on/off switch the turns the whole panel off, trigger wire hook up or direct, hopeful to finish install this weekend. I will hook mine direct as I'm setting up for a frig, water pump, and Cap lights to sleep in back of truck so they have to be on.....Jack
My switches uses:
Water pump
Refrigerator
Winch control master
air compressor
interior cap lights
emrgency strob on rear of cap (maybe)

But you can't have some operate always and some operate only ACC/RUN - you have to choose one or the other, or use that master switch?
In other words, if I wanted them to control the added backup lights but had the switches set to work only in ACC or run, I'd have to push the master switch and the switch for the backup lights, correct?

Yes, I don't have it fully installed but reading the directions it is one or the other no seprate programing. One other neat feature is you can program a switch that one push is on and two pushes puts it into strobe. Voswitch seems very well made, and instructions are very good, I like the idea that it has nothing to do with the jeep and is stand alone with a low voltage cut out if battery voltage drops to low.....jack

Your comment makes me wonder if there's anyone who has removed the factory switches in favor of others - making a "take-off" available.........
I originally added the factory set and have already basically run out. I currently have a light bar, 4 front light pods, rear light pods, winch cut-off, and air compressor that need switches. I combined the light bar and front pods, but have an Eaton E-Locker sitting in my garage waiting to go in. I also have a roof-rack arriving that has a spot for 4 more light pods that I'd like to put amber lights in. So I decided to get the VOSwitch 8 switch pod. Now I'll run light bar, 4 front pods, roof-rack pods, rear pods, winch cut-off, air compressor, locker, with space for one last one (thinking CB radio). That leaves me with the factory pod and nothing in mind how to use it. Then again, I thought 4 would be enough.

If it was 100% complete and the price was in my budget I may be interested in an original Jeep switch set.

I have a question about the different auxilary switch panels available. Are these switches can bus type switches or can they wired directly to my own relay?

I want my switches to be located where factory put them. I currently have a small cubby at the lower right of my dash panel. I bought a switch panel from S-Tech ( don't have it yet ) but it looks close to the factory switch panel.
I finally got around to hooking up the auxiliary switch panel.
