Hello, new to the forum. Just bought a 2023 Sport S Max Tow and beginning my journey to bankruptcy. Going tomorrow for estimates on tires and lift, but this thread is about satellite radio. Truck comes with the Uconnect 4, 7 inch display, but no SiriusXm on screen. Adding a receiver and antenna should be easy IF the radio has a satellite plug receptacle . Can anyone confirm?

Any hints, tricks, or corrections are appreciated!

$350 buys Sirius/XM that plays back though your radio and the steering wheel controls it .
Not rocket science to install.
If you’re going to get it I’ll share some consent to be aware of.
Check out Vais/Vias.
Other options require playing back through your FM receiver, it’s a PIA.

You're certain that when you're on radio mode, SXM isn't an option alongside FM and AM?

I have the same radio as you, and I have SiriusXM (not paying for it, though).

I have a Sport, bare bones, no Sirius/xm,
does have 2 sun visors.

I have a '21 with the same radio. Look at your window sticker to see if its set up for Sirius.

If you don't have the window sticker, I believe you can get it if you copy or paste your VIN to the end of this link after the "=" .........

Interesting. Didn't know it was possible to get the 7" screen without SiriusXM. That said, though, he says he has a Max Tow. With all the other options Max Tow forces you to get as well (or at least used to), I'm still a little skeptical that he doesn't have it.

My 2020 JT Sport came with SiriusXM built into the 5" radio. My 2018 JLU Sport didn't come with it, but I installed a used 5" radio that had it and ran my own antenna.

Thanks for the replies. I have the sticker and there is no mention of Sirius and it doesn’t appear as an option on the radio page of the touch screen. There are options to retrofit but the easiest ones appear to need a satellite plug on the back of the radio. I just don’t know if this radio has that plug and haven’t had time to refer to the first reply link (dealing with a lift and tires first).

Again, all comments and experience appreciated.

I believe they all should, just need the antenna kit you previously mentioned. You can pull out the unit and look if needed. Just take a picture and I or someone else can cross reference with one. I swapped out to a 8.4 so mine is just laying out.

I paid $350 for the VAIS Sirius/XM radio.
https://vaistech.com/shop/?fwp_year...nect-4-with-7-inch-screen-gladiator-jeep-2023

it has a Sirius module and antenna that connects to a module that connects via the USB to provide Sirius/XM.
The steering controls work with the adapter.
Initially it played great, then it would cut out when I hit pot hole, railroad tracks, or made a right Turn.
After several calls to VAIS I was sent a new sirius/XM package After I returned the original package.
i connected/installed the new system. I drove two miles and the same conditions occurred.
now I have to use my iPhone and connect wirelessly to play Sirius/xm.
the Jeep USB is CRAP!
I’m going go to a dealer and see what their Solution will be, if any.

Personally, I'd just use a streaming app through carplay/android auto
