ADS Mesa shocks vs fox 2.5 IFP HTO shock

Need shock recommendations for JTRD. Budget is $2000. Daily driver with moderate trails on the weekend, light rock crawling and fire roads mostly.

Looking at ADS Mesa or fox 2.5 IFP HTO shocks. Does anyone have experience running either of these?

Have the 2.5 HTOs. Great daily driver shock. Initially thought they were firm but got used to them.


Offroad - used it mostly on fire roads and they are great as well.

I appreciate the reply! The Fox HTO shocks are definitely at the top of my list. Hoping someone can chime in on the MESA shocks. ADS makes great stuff just haven’t heard of anyone running the Mesas yet.

ADS makes great shocks, on par with Fox and King, better coating on the shock bodies which you may want to consider being in MI.

Unfortunately for both the HTOs and Mesa's, again a shock manufacturer, cough couch Fox cough OE Part manufacturer...still dont make them with 14mm bushings. I still dont know why they keep making new options and then leaving so much of the JT market without consideration (Mojaves).

I'd get ADS over Fox any day..way to many build issues coming out from Fox and King. I have a Friend that tunes shocks and see first hand the problems.
