Anyone running Falcon SP2 shocks with the AEV dualsport 2.5" lift? Two of my Bilstein shocks are starting to go after 50K miles and was looking at upgrading the shocks. I'm aware AEV has the shocks and springs tuned together but has anyone ran different shocks?

Youd wart to check extended and compressed lengths. I have heard a few people say recently that falcon shocks are too stiff.
personally I would consider these well before the falcons. After watching some videos on their function and internals they seem pretty amazing. https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...-and-rear-b8-8100-series-bypass-shock-package

that or look at some custom tuned options
Yea, those would obviously be awesome, but not looking to spend $4k! haha.

Might just swap out the springs for Claytons, or something similar while i'm at it.

why would you want to swap springs? Seems like an unnecessary cost to me unless your not heavy enough to warrant AEV springs

Gotcha. I would just compare the bilstein shock compressed and extended length spec with the falconā€™s. I just got my AEV on yesterday and it looks like with the 5100ā€™s there is a couple inches of length the sorings still have. So as long as the falconā€™s dont have like 3ā€ of extra length then it should fit. As for the ride I dont know how they are.

I run Falcon 3.5 sp2s and the ride is pretty firm. I run Teraflex springs made to match up with them. The tf springs are pretty lightly sprung. How stiff are AEV springs? If they are on the stiffer side might be pretty rough with the sp2s.

they are on the firm side. AEV sd springs are designed to carry 400 pounds over gvw and their hd springs are designed for 700 pounds over gvw. I did a good writeup of them yesterday.

Why do you have to spend any money at all?
The shocks have a lifetime warranty so just get them replacedā€¦for free.

It was my understanding the warranty is only for manufacturing defects/ failures. Not from wear and tear.
