Since I got my 2022 Jeep 5 months ago, I've been wondering about not having backup sensors. Obviously the camera is there, but no sensors.
I've still not figure why Jeep would omit that piece. I've never wanted anything related to park assist.
Today, I almost back into someone running across the back end of the jeep and if i wasn't looking I would have possibly hit them.

Anyone using any type of aftermarket backup sensors?
I see some on Amazon, but wanting to get some real life reviews.
thanks

Trust me, anything short of a OEM setup is going to look out of place and scabbed on.

I've still not figure why Jeep would omit that piece.
Case can be made for a lot of things they offer as an option that should be standard. They have to draw lines somewhere to keep price points from be nuclear stupid more than they already are now. Given the pace they have made some things standard now vs. at launch in 2019, I would not be surprised it becomes standard in the next year or two.

I thought the same thing but after spending time on the forum I kinda got the idea most serious wheelers don’t want all this kinda extra stuff to get in the way and also makes mods more involved. Infotainment.com has an OEM kit but it ain’t cheap.

Backup cameras became standard due to a government mandate. We will probably see that in the next couple years for Backup sensors, and then blind spot sensors a few years after that.

Things would be a lot cheaper if the Govt wasn't trying to protect "US" from stupidity.

I say let Darwin shake things out and keep Govt out of our life.
