Hmm, I went to O Reilly and they had the air filter in stock but had to order the cabin filter. Got it like 3 hours later.

Napa gold and wix are the best in the business. I'd fo with those over oem. Napa gold is made by wix
Both of these are now made by Mann now correct?

As I showed, OEM is typically WIX.
OEM = WIX
NAPA = WIX
Uh..............

Owned by - sort of like GM and Chevy trucks.
Corporate family, but operating under different names and structures.
Semi-independent in a way.

To a point…. Some platforms things went straight across- VW tdi’s air filters…. Used to use wix because they were decent and $15 cheaper than Mann…. When Mann picked up wix- the wix filter turned into a Mann, and then Also offered a wix filter with a “snow” filter option. (Foamy stuff glued to the end of the filter- which surprisingly filters a lot of junk ?). - snow filter used to only be found on the mann’s.

- I get your point though ?

My comment was more in line with- a lot of rebranding etc. going on anymore… change at the set interval and life is good. They are all good… except k&n…. ?? (joking…. Not joking? I don’t like oiled filters….. dry for this guy??)

I actually like the idea of the "snow filter". I've run across that before and recall thinking - hey, good idea.
When I use that term I think of the OTR guys hauling up north in the middle of show storms and how their filters can get packed with snow to the point of suffocating those big engines.

In any case, I've always had good luck with NAPA other than one time I had a NAPA gold oil filter on my 70 Javelin 390. I was never a huge believer in the rad oil pressures some guys run and then bitch about wiping out distributor gears because of the load on the pump. So I set mine up to run a max of 70 psi on the highway.
I kept finding spots on the garage floor and a sort of film on the front lower side of the engine. The engine had no leaks, I was sure of it - built it myself, I'm OCD about oil leaks.
It took a few days and a few drives, but found that the seam on the filter was opening up at higher RPM on the highway and a very fine mist was being spread by the wind. .
I replaced the filter (yeah, with another NAPA Gold) and never had any further troubles.
So - stuff happens even with the best of parts.

I think we're on the same page of the same book, we just read the lines a tad differently.

Walked into an Advance Auto and they had one in stock. Seems to be hit or miss on finding one. Funny my dealer is willing to put one in for a good price lol.

Was doing a tune up on a customer's car. Go to gap the Champion spark plugs. 4 of the 8 spark plugs didn't have any threads on them. That's just a little bit of the stuff I've run into over the years.

So 2 filters for the engine air filters on the gladiator? When I look on line at mopar or other on line sellers the pic shows one filter. Is there another part number I need to look for?

ONE engine air filter,
one cabin air filter.

So no, not 2 filters for the engine air filter, just one (one for diesel, one for gas engine)

Wix makes the filters for Mopar and they're readily available thru a variety of vendors and/or Amazon.
