The weekend continued. We ended up at a campground in North Pole as we began to swing south back toward home. This was a good spot to have a safe fire, cook up some delicious wagyu steak and potatoes, and settle in for a relaxing evening... Almost. Because eventually, a cop drove by and then put it in reverse to pull up by our camp.

Turns out he said our Jeep was his dream rig and he wanted to check it out

It was a wonderful weekend to slow down, do some touristy things, and recall the somber reason for the holiday. We hope you all had a great celebration as well.

While we're not back home yet, we're no longer on the Bourbon Trail.

What a cool experience! I'd encourage those that are interested to go.

We're finally back in Alaska! ...just in time for my wife to go on a work trip out of state. No action this weekend, however, we have some parts for the blue Jeep on the way that will be some fun installs which I'm excited for.

Over the next month of so we have some visitors coming to stay with us. Maybe we can talk them into camping

I am happy to say we've made progress on our shed, but we have not made progress on any weekend getaways recently. We have folks visiting in town the next several weeks.

We also have Jeep parts waiting for install! Can't wait.

But I have to wait.

Some shed progress, it's just my wife and I working on this with no experience. She's a wonderful woman to put up with this much effort. Lifting those 16' 2x6 trusses up over 8' is a lot!

That backyard view though - super jealous. What's the shed for? Looks like a nice little wood shop! Constantly debating myself on working on the jeep, or working around the house ha, its a tossup.

The shed will house the sxs, the plow, mower, snow blower, and tote storage. Maybe a project car someday.

We've had some house guests, but now they're gone. Got a good few days on the shed before the rain set in. Since it's still raining, it was time for garage therapy!

Installed a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar and Grimm fender liners today.

The sway bar was cake to put on.

The liners needed a bit more finesse. Don't follow their instructions, you'll end up doing more work than is needed and more importantly you'll remove more plastic rivets than you need to... The first four rivets do not need removed despite what the instructions say. The are supposed to fit piggyback shocks but they needed bending to clear them so be prepared for that. Also you'll need a way to remount your mud flaps. Just be creative with what you got around until you decide on a final mounting solution.
