is that a table setup you are building with extruded aluminum? thats coooool
It was. After using it for a summer, I wasn't a fan of the bench seat up agaisnt the water tank. So I am actually in the middle of building out a new interior that will house all the camping gear. I will update in a week or so with some fresh photos of the interior.

Alu-Cab Diesel Heater Install: Just completed this install and now I have nice hot forced air heat! :) FYI, these heaters cost less than $150. My JT is diesel so any fuel I carry has two uses.
Cheers!

With the popularity of the diesel heaters lately, thinking its time for a @813 Fabrication & Design install kit?

One of my favorite mods on mine to date.
These are great kits! I have the Dickinson heater and GP install kit to install but may not do so in favor of a removable diesel option. I HATE the cold, so I don't plan to camp a lot when it is cold so I decided I may not want a permanent install with the Dickinson setup. Plus, I can use the diesel setup for prototyping options for those who do not want to go the propane route.

Funny you mention that..... Stay tuned!
Good. Father is picking up his camper for his JT in a month or so and thinking about a diesel heater.

I went with the fireplace, mainly for the ambience (to get my wife to go camping). If I had to do it over again, think I probably would have gone the diesel route, esepecially since mine JT is a diesel.

I think the heater/fireplace is awesome, I just think a removable option will be best for me. I have had a few ask about a kit for installing one, so I will see what I can work up. I have been working with a local company, Trax Offgrid, they are building high-end diesel heaters using the Autoterm (previously Planar) heaters. I have been designing parts for him to build them, so it makes sense for me to use one and keep developing items for them,

Really interested to see what you come up with! I also prefer a seasonal solution, one that interfaces cleanly with the ALCC and doesn’t require a chimney on my rig.

Does anyone know the proper specs or can you share a link for purchasing appropriate sized t-slot nuts for the ALCC's extrusion profile? Thanks in advance!
M8-1.25 x 20 mm Hex Cap Screws Coarse Stainless Steel
I usually use 16, 20 or 25mm

Thank you! Any experience with something along these lines? To be clear I have no idea if the linked t-slot nuts are compatible with the t-slot profile that alucab uses. Looking for something with a bit more surface area than a hex nut.

Those won't work, they are too deep and wide. You may be able to find some more flat track style bolts, but I believe the hex nuts would be stronger. What type of weight are you trying to mount? The hex nuts hold quite a bit

Basically body weight up to maybe 250lbs. My wife and I have come to the conclusion that having a stable place to put a foot that is perhaps a little taller than the top of the bed side. This would help in getting up and down from the sleeping platform. Not sure if this would be made from a single right angle piece of material or built from extrusion (since I can't weld or bend metal).
