My camper finally made it to CO....but the fitment kit is still in Africa. So more waiting is in store for camodog......
Boy that really stinks! If the bracket kit is anything like the cap I would start making up something as a substitute.
Pretty sure Alu-Cab is still shutdown.

why do you think they are shut down?
South African national Covid shutdown. You should be ok. That was 3/26 to 4/16. But Alu-Cab hasn't posted anything on their blog saying they have reopened...

i just spent the day at Asheville Vehicle Outfitters getting my canopy installed (pics soon) and Eric told me that Alu-Cab has re-opened and is in production.
Place your orders boys. These things are awesome!

Tentative install date of 6/16 and pickup on 6/17. I am not getting excited or my hopes up that it actually happens.....so more to come. Again.

I haven’t built much inside. In my opinion, if it’s raining and we are inside the main area, I want to be able to see out the windows. That necessitates sitting low, on the floor or a cushion. The addition of permanent cabinets etc would just make that more difficult. I have my fridge in the truck cab.

The only thing I have done is install 400w of solar and a removable solar generator. I added a Bedrug which makes the floor flat and comfortable. I have also constructed a folding set of 1x8 boards that fit into the groove in the sides of the gladiator bed. When I setup camp, I use that to create a small bunk for my daughter (60” long, which is actually longer than the bed length)

One other detail. I don’t have the spare tire carrier on the rear door, so I added a bell crank to the opening mechanism allowing it to open almost 180 degrees. Here’s a pic. It’s a little hard to see, but if you find my Instagram account I have a short video of it opening.

Thank you for sharing! We are debating about where to put the fridge because of how small the bed is.
