Our newest additions.
Can crusher. And Inside aluminum table mount. Fridge for reference is the Dometic cfx3 95dz. And lastly full of the uptop overland rack

We will be at the Southeast Overland Event at Bush Mountain State Penn in TN on 31 March - 2 April and also showing at The Moore Expo in Springfield MO on 22-23April if you are interested in seeing our rig and mods first hand. Hope everyone has a great week. We have a lot to do and will be doing a bog brake kit tomorrow from Powerbrake and changing out to diesel specific front springs from Clayton. We did already do a bunch of projects since we returned from the expedition in the arctic. Repairs and lessons learned mainly. As well as projects we couldn't finish before we left. We hope to have everything shook down this year before our 3 month trip south of the border into Baja following the continental divide south from Colorado. Feel free to DM us if you need anything on our main instagram account @gladiatoroverland.

What was your Arctic expedition?
How do i mKe this a small thread. Lol. 3 Months over 20k miles. Majority off blacktop. From North GA to Ouray Colorado headed north to Canada following the Continental Divide Trail all offroad. North ti TukToyaTuk NWT Canada, then south the Anchorage and North again to Prudhoe Bay. South down Stewart Cassiair to Seattle WA down the coast near eugene then headed inland towards Moab Utah. Then pretty much headed back home through SW Colorado and then east to Arkansas for a but. Then North Mississippi to see my son. And back home.

plan on doing the southern routeof Continental Divide next year towards Mexico boarder. If things are safe south of the border we would head to cabo san lucas then back up through California back to Moab and back through colorado. Over 3 months.

Interesting. I had mine installed at a shop - are these removed completely for install? Or re-installed after the fitment kit goes on? I did not get any stock parts back, I wonder if they went in the trash and if that will ever be a problem
You remove them completely. There is a Shock on the drivers side behind the Rear light that is your door soft opening feature. there is hardware that is worth a little money to replace. You should have been given it in case you convert back.

Got the Cab on today. Thank god a neighbour just bought a Fork lift and rushed over to save us.

Still have to get the fitment better seated so we can install the door and button it all up. But ran out of day light and had to drive kids boyfriend back home out of town. Barley felt it on the winding road to the West Coast , was very surprised. But it is empty. lol

Is there a better option though that doesn't require the end links to hang so darn low to get bashed on things?
The best way to do that is to go with the RockJock 4x4 HD rear sway bar. It relocates the sway bar up above the frame with the links going down to the axle. Moving the sway bar completely out of the way.

It features a 1-1/8" bar diameter and is designed for those with extra weight.

Since I brought up another option. What does this at double the price give you over the terraflex ST Forged Swaybar for the JT?

From what I can tell from using the Terraflex kit which does the same thing. But also adds travel to 16”. Im curious why one would choose the Currie over the Terraflex option? They are imho very comparable and do very similar things.

We've been using the teraflex st forged swaybar for almost 30k in a variety of settings. From light rock crawling, bombing bdr wyoming, all of colorado jeep trails, moab, arctic etc. and have found eith our heavy girl and canopy camper it to be a great option without any negatives. We looked at the currie option but couldnt justify paying double the price for something that does almost the same thing.

Just doing a quick look, the Teraflex system looks to be targeted to the normal trail off-roader focuses on travel where the Rock Jock offers several diffent ratings. This one (Rock Jock) is specifc to the overalnders and adventureres like us who have camper systems and are heavier than the normal trail Jeep. Teralfex doesn't advertise the bar diameter that I can see. I would be curious to see what it is.

A heavier rating.

I called Jeremy over at TeraFlex earlier today, he says their sway bar matches the factory JT sway bar.

Brian down at Rock Jock 4x4 says their standard 1" bar matches factory rate and the HD 1-1/8" bar is rated for those adding bed racks, RTTs, fridges, and other gear. So, it would be a better match for the Alu-Cab.

We've got a front and rear set of the Rock Jock 4x4 HD kits on their way and will get @Tech Tim to do up a video on these when they arrive.

We do have a JT here with the TeraFlex Alpine kit on it, we'll look into doing the same for the TeraFlex sway bar.

As far as travel, the TeraFlex kit can allow for up to 16" of travel, if you have the full matching long travel kit.

The AntiRocks are designed to maximize travel and have been the go-to long travel sway bars for Jeeps for well over a decade.

That would be awesome if its not too much trouble. Having that info in the thread will help for people looking to upgrade down the road. I currently have Hellwig so I can answer those questions.

Thanks for the informed response. Yes the one downfall for sure of the teraflex system is needing longer travel shocks. So if one already has a setup it can be a expense. I am very interested in a comparison especially with so much time behind this setup to see what the differences are as our current setup seems to work well even when loaded down.
Message inbound btw.
