We done a few of the Helwig rear sway bar installs and they've definitely made a difference on the heavier loaded JTs:

Helwig rear sway bar, no links:
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/sway-bars/7779-hellwig-rear-sway-bar-only-no-sway-bar-links

Hellwig rear sway bar with links:
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/sway-bars/7779-hellwig-rear-sway-bar-only-no-sway-bar-links

Is there a better option though that doesn't require the end links to hang so darn low to get bashed on things?

Just received my Alu Cab Camper Monday. Doing self install as our local Cap-It had no clue how to do it. ITs going to be a challenge. First hurdle is the tail gate hinges. Got the gate off but now I need to remove the hinges. Can not get even one Torque bolt lose. Anyone have removed them , themselves? What is trick without wrecking them. Can't get fitment kit in till this is removed. Tried some heat and still nothing. Afraid to strip the bolts.

Look up removing door bolts for some pointers. Some have used a breaker bar. We have used an cordless impact drill. Issue is the paint and some will have to be heated to break bond. Anyhow look up the above and you will find an answer that will work for you.

We use the Terraflex ST forged swaybar kit on ours. No issues with the end links being so low. Brings them well above the axle. Only install issue we had was with the rokblox mudflaps needing to weld on brackets. Benefits are links cant get damaged and allows up yo 16” of rear wheel travel. Also eliminates the issue with the rear swaybar mount where they crack under stress.

I would now be working on routing your propane lines if you are going from drivers to passenger. Also consider quick release sans a regulator for stoves. As they usually have something built it. Youll thank me at high altitudes. We run a dickenson p9000 on yhe passenger side back wall with gp fit kit. Wish I was able at your point fo prerunning ing the lines. Even if you dont go through the bulkhead yet.

Great Advice. I am actually installing a Diesel Heater, Routing exhaust out the empty 110v access panel. Custom heat shield being designed.

Also will be routing backup cam to passenger side into cab and back along the inner door. Will be cutting out a matching hole to mount the cam in the exact location in the Alucab door as stock tail gate. No plans to run a wheel there and will be customizing a 3D gladiator lettering to match what was on my original Tail gate, but in Gecko Green

If i could really look back I would have also removed the bed and installed bungs between the bed and the cab. Pre ran wires from battery to bed inside frame rails etc. as far as cam @813 Fabrication & Design does make a adapter that takes the factory backup camera and mounts in rail above camper door. But also allows the use of a second camera for a rearview monitor setup. So much kne can do with these things. Would have alos worked in the beginning to utilize space between camper and cab with mounts. Can probably think of 100 different things in hind site that i would have done differently or just just done to make it easier.

I have my camera mounted below the door and my father has the @813 Fabrication & Design bracket on his. The view improvement on his vs mine is awesome, I would defiantly look at the 813.

One thing I have noticed with the camera being mounted low is water spray, dust, or mud can cover the lens of the camera (even the factory location) and obscure the view. Mounting it up as high as possible will help.

And last, your color combo is going to look amazing!

I agree, having it up higher is better, especially if mounting items in the hitch, such as bike racks. I am currently working on a completely different camera/brake light option that should be an even better option when I am done.

Interesting. I had mine installed at a shop - are these removed completely for install? Or re-installed after the fitment kit goes on? I did not get any stock parts back, I wonder if they went in the trash and if that will ever be a problem

Some of the parts are reused frkm thr factory. As far as unused bolts I rrally dont recall myself. I have my tailgate stored with other misc parts from yhe factory install. Id say regardless, most arent going to be taking of the canopy camper. Just easier to start new. Yet, if you do tany small installation gear besides the tailgate would be easy yo acquire and at that point would probably be better to replace anyhow.

I too mounted the rear camera low between the bumper and the Alu cab, I also had the side wings between the cab and the Alucab put on hinges so that they swing out and in that space having a custom built gas tank made that will hold approximately 20 gallons fuel

This time next week I will be able to tell you if the relocation bracket keeps the XM reception normal. (Next week is ACCC install week!)

Wanted to add a note here. On our UpTop Overland Half Rack we have been helping to design the rack and accessories for it. We had them make a bracket for the Jeep XM/GPS Antenna. Made a world of difference. See picture.
