Getting new build lined up for 2024. Either Canopy Camper or Scout Tuktut.
Are you saying new build for yours in 2024? Or you trading yours in, getting a 2024 then getting one of the new campers. I vote canopy camper.

Sorry, yes I am keeping my truck and updating the set up. We plan to do more extended travel next year and working out of a RTT isn't going to be ideal. I also love the ACC option.

If Jeep releases a more powerful engine option for the JT in 2024 then I'll sell the entire rig. I'm not personally a 4xe fan though.

I like the idea of the 4xe but not for the price and the range it offers. Highly doubt they’ll put something else in it. I wouldn’t mind getting a tear drop one day. I just put a ikamper xcover 2.0 on mine. Love it so far. Hoping to do first trip with it next weekend once the heat wave passes. I have co workers that go camping and they’re like what is the point of the roof top tent? Just get a camper. And I just reply b/c I have no interest in going to a camp ground I want to be in the middle of no where. Away from the camper shenanigans. To me that’s not camping. But that’s just my opinion.

Can anyone confirm the load capability for this? Alu-Cab.com says 150kg directly to roof, but that number seems incredibly low if you take in an RTT, and even just one sleeper. Is the number correct if you are using crossbars?

Thanks

Edit: For those curious, I just found the information I was looking for. 150kg dynamic load, 350kg static load. This is from Alu-Cab's offical youtube channel for reference.

Hey All, 1st post here. I am a Tacoma guy....so sorry to infiltrate your Gladiator forum.
Buuuuuut.
I just got an Alu-Cab on my Tacoma. Wanted to take my son hunting this next week way out in eastern Oregon, however there is NO way to escape the Alu-Cab once you are in. I didn't even think to ask prior to buying. Have any of you managed to find a HACK? curious minds would LOVE to know. None of my Tacoma buddies have any idea.

as you can see here.

Anyone sleep in there All-Cab Contour?

All I can think is to climb thru the Alu-Cab Contour pass thru sliding bulk head window into your rear Jeep sliding window to the back seat. I mean that's the emergency plan B and C in my head

HA. Well I might have to lose a couple lbs. :) That ALU-Cab window is only 6in x12in. Not sure my 7year old could fit. ha ha. Man I am sure someone has a hack to this. I wonder if anyone has been seriously stuck inside. Appreciate the reply.

is it possible to mount the awning to the contour canopy? Does anyone have this setup? Any recommendations against this? Will it interfere with the doors?

Any images? I may get a tent later but I’d like the awning now.
Got the ovs LT version. But their full size one should work as well. But you'll need 3 mounting points for the full siz3 one.

Ordered the Contour Canopy w/o side windows today from OK4WD ?

It sounds like I may have lucked out on lead times by skipping the side windows; will know in a couple days. OK4WD is a bit over 30 minutes from me, so getting to check one out in person this past weekend - and pick up in store w/o shipping costs - helped seal the deal.

Now to sell the couple tonneau covers I have...

Fellas,
Thanks for your participation in this forum. Just got our Gladiator a couple days ago. Gotta couple rookie questions about the Alu-Cab setup…
I’m assuming the installation of the rtt eliminates the ability to take the roof off the Jeep, right? It appears from photos that you can still remove the front two panels.
Also, will a stock Rubicon (33” tires) with the Alu-Cab rtt fit in a standard garage? My impression is that it wouldn’t but would like to know for sure.

Thanks!

My AluCab Contour with AluCab 3R RTT running a Synergy 3" lift with MT Baja Boss AT 37's measured 7ft 5in from the ground to the RTT rails on top. I have 8ft doors so it fit in my garage.

Basically, add the following height to the top of your bed rail and you'll have a very close approximation

Contour (23.25in) + Load Bars with zero rise feet (1.0in) + RTT at highest point in rear (11.0in) = 35.25in total on top of bed rails (conservatively 3ft additional height)

Park your bed under your garage door and see if you have 3ft of clearance to the bed rails... not to mention on stock suspension that amount of weight is going to sag you down about 2in. Stock Rubi springs and shocks do not support this weight properly. It rides like garbage and over 70mph on the highway will get you swaying side to side nicely.

Has anyone mounted a roof tray to the top of your contour canopy? Been looking at either a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform or a Frontrunner Slimline II. How or what did you use to mount them? Pictures would be great if you have! Thank you

Hello. Would someone be willing to provide me with the extended and collapsed lengths of the side door lift cylinders? Maybe a poundage rating, too? And/or the part # of the shocks? Just trying to get an idea for my own build. Thanks!
