After a week of DD, this kit really does tighten things up. It is a solid upgrade.

One thing I noticed is the drag link prefers to be in a rotated forward position. This seems consistent with every video and snapshot where I can see any steering kit with these ends. It just looks odd...but there is no configuration or rotation that would result in something different.

For those wanting to upgrade your steering it looks like Fusion 4x4 has a new product. I have no connection to them but i did have their product on my '14 JKUR and it's great. Their websuite has all the info. I am looking to get the system with the Fox SS. I don't really have a problem with my steering now so it's not really needed but better is always better. Fusion 4x4 makes top quality products.

I see that Fusion says the rotor shield may need to be trimmed to clear the new TR end. Has anyone had to do this?

Looking into my options as well. Looks like Fusion, Deutsch, and Rusty's will work with my AEV wheels w/o spacers. Any others?

I run the fusion stuff on my JK. I swear by it, it's top notch stuff and takes a beating.

There sites all say wheel spacers are required for stock or AEV wheels.
I'd call and check with whoever you go with then since they don't specify that they do work with stock wheels. They're all basically the same parts with very little difference in diameter/dimensions so I'd think if one rubs there is a good chance they'd all rub, especially with an inch of back space over the recommended.

Coming from metal work back ground I'll stick to steel. Especially for the cost difference.

I also have AEV wheels, but mine are the JK version with +4 et. I have an Apex TR on the way, hopefully it will clear the wheels.

Apex TR is the same as rpm steering as apex provides the ends and 2" straight aluminum is 2" straight aluminum. I'd think it should because a .75 spacer on jl wheels is basically the same as jk aev wheels.

That's correct. My only uncertainty is that, Apex called for minimum of 4.75" back spacing and AEV listed the JK wheel as 4.90". I'm hoping that Apex are just being conservative with their number.

The extra .5" inward width of the my wheels might makes contact with the TR ends.

Doetsch and Fusion both say they work with stock wheels, which are over 6" bs I believe. Rusty's only mentions spacers for non Rubicon models. Anyone able to confirm others?
