Going lower is probably not going to happen due to design. You may be able to lower the rear some. JL owners have gone as far as to have an upholstery shop remove foam from the seat cushion.

There are JL seat extension brackets available from Misch and ExtendMySeat. You get 6" with the Misch and 4" with the others. I'm not 100% sure if they will fit the JT, but I bet they do.

The link for the Misch would open last night but is being flakey today. Hopefully it will work for you. Here are both links...

No worries. I'm seriously thinking about them myself to get a bit more leg room. One thing I forgot to mention is that at least with the Misch brand, they don't fit well with the Moper all weather mats. You may have to do some trimming of the mats for them to fit right. I would expect the same to be true for weathertechs or any other floor liner with that type of coverage. Best of luck.

It might be easier to drill 4 new holes in the floorpan and move the seat rearward as far as you like.

I am 6'2" but pretty long torso. - the only modification I have had to deal with over the years is in relation to mirrors.

1. The side mirrors do not seem to go 'high' enough. But they are not worth the mod.
2. The review mirror is a different story. The JL and now the JT have a very long stem (more than needed). The good news is that you can flip the mirror upside down and gain back about 1.5" in visibility. It actually makes a big difference.

You can see by the photo (from the back) how much it moves the mirror up...

I'm definitely gonna look at the Misch option.....with my height the moving down is really the issue......guess there is nothing I can do.....hopefully I'll find something

+1 mirror flip ,seat tilt, and if you have the cash replace the seat and move it back but mind the center of gravity, length of ownership, age and health. Comfort matters, but driving a Jeep will always make you smile...

Go rent a wrangler Unlimited if you can find one and spend a day in it. I'm 6'2"/270 and the only thing i dont like is my knee touches the transfer case shifter. I figured i need less cheeseburgers or a different vehicle. I chose neither LOL
