I had a 392 HEMI (6.4L) installed in my Jeep Gladiator by America’s Most Wanted, and overall the experience was outstanding. From start to finish, the build went great and the quality of the installation is truly factory-level. Everything looks, feels, and drives like it came this way from the manufacturer.

The team at AMW was excellent to work with—professional, responsive, and transparent throughout the process. They kept me informed, answered all of my questions, and sent multiple photos during the build so I always knew what was going on. Shipping was handled smoothly, and the truck arrived exactly as expected.

As for the driving experience—this thing is incredible. The power and acceleration from the 6.4L are absolutely intoxicating. I’m very glad I didn’t go with the 5.7, as I know I would have been disappointed, and while the Hellcat would have been insane, it would honestly be too much for daily driving. The 392 is the perfect balance—brutal when you want it, yet completely manageable and comfortable for everyday use. The truck drives amazing.

The only initial drawback was the exhaust. While exhaust sound is subjective, it was a bit too loud and raspy for my taste, with some drone. I spoke with AMW and they suggested adding a Borla resonator after the muffler. I went ahead and installed it, and it made a huge difference. Now it sounds perfect—still aggressive, but much more refined. The drone is gone, and at normal cruising speeds you barely hear it; it only really comes alive above 2,000 RPM.

Yes, the conversion is expensive, but it is absolutely worth the money. I would pay for it again without hesitation. The only downside is the waiting game—it took about 2.5 months after the down payment for shipping, and another 1.5 months for the build—but the end result makes it well worth the wait.

Top-notch company, top-notch work, and an unbelievable driving experience. Highly recommended.

I’m sure it’s a price I’ll never be able to pay but out of curiosity what was total cost of the swap? Same as their website or does that differ vehicle to vehicle?

I don’t understand why they don’t use a 392 hood with cold air directed right to air box plus under hood cooling.
Your truck looks great enjoy!….Jack

Well, for one they are currently closed.

But regardless, if I may be frank, I was wondering why somebody would start a thread and then refuse to discuss the cost. It has me wondering, what other information is not your business to disclose.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I'm weighing how much factual information I can actually gain from this thread.

Agree. But to be fair, you gotta admit that nobody asked "how much would it cost for my vehicle?"

in post 3, he did say how much was th cost for the swap
As in your cost? We understand our cost could vary significantly for many reasons but your cost seems very relevant to the thread topic. Isn't paying for it part of the installation and experience? Maybe you for a screaming deal none of us could match. Maybe you paid more than the last guy. Why it would be a secret I have no idea. If you don't want to discuss the experience openly why start the thread? One of the guys who posted about his 5.7L swap said he paid right at the price listed on the AMW site so I'd imagine you're in the ballpark of that.

That is awesome, I also had the 505 conversion done and sometimes wonder if the 5.7 conversion would have been a better choice, I've never drove one with the 5.7 though. I do love the sound and the steady pull of the 6.4. Makes for a great daily driver. Great looking truck

Itdodge, Great looking truck sir. I also had the 505 Conversion done and really love the sound and just the way it handles the power, It is always a joy to drive. Im glad you posted this in that I sometimes i second guess my decision and wonder if I should have saved some money and went with the 5.7 because really your not in the throttle most of the time but I hadn't drove one with a 5.7 either though. Again, beautiful truck and I hope you enjoy the drive as much as I do mine.

love your graphics. in the future would want to put the airscoop hood on, the rubicon hood fits fine, but the scoop look so much better, not sure if performance wise makes a diffrence.

Is that an oiled K&N air filter? If so, is there an option for a regular paper filter that stops more than just the big chunks? As you can surmise, I am not a K&N filter fan.
