Can someone explain to me how the anchor mode works. Does it have to be in park , drive or neutral? In winch mode or not ? I’ve tried multiple ways to get it to work with no luck. Is there more to it than just holding the high beam stalk and pressing the brake pedal? Does it give any dash indication that it is on ? So far everything else with the Tazer Mini seems to work except this feature. Thanks

  • Adds Anchor Mode (Lock all 4 brakes and hold)
    • Press brake firmly and pull hi beam stalk. All 4 brakes will hold indefinitely until accelerator pressed. Works in conjunction with Winch and Cooldown modes as well

Tazer. Forgot about this feature.
Darn. Sure would be awesome for this to be a factory option. I can think of a lot of great uses for it.

I would think that in 4L with the vehicle in park and the parking brake set, it would almost be the same thing. Does that not work?
I'm actually asking - as it would seem that you'd have all 4 wheels locked due to being in park, and the parking brake set further locks things up.

But then that's not has handy as pulling a lever back while pressing the brake pedal with the engine running.

I was actually amazed that while pulling the guy out of the snowy/icy ditch, with my truck parked on a sheet of ice (2 wheels on the shoulder that were only slightly less slick) that my truck stayed planted. Even the scrap iron truck driver behind me suggested if mine slid, he'd chain my truck to his.

I have the feature, but not specifically turned on, as PIN Lock on the Tazer will also lock all the brakes (you need to open and close the door and take the key fob with you to activate it) I used it that variant during a snow extraction a couple months back with success.

you must have the audio page displayed on the instrument panel, press brake, pull high beam stalk.

When winching you don't really want to use park. That puts all that stress your pulling out on the parking pawl. Abet the small amount the skimpy little break pads help with with the parking break.

You really should be in N with foot on the breaks. Or using the anchor mode w the Tazer.

That said of course park works, but if your getting some one out of mud, or upp a cliff that's a lot of stress.

As noted above you have to be on the "radio" screen and I think* it's a live feature, you need the unit pugged in.

Definitely live.

So if you are sitting at a stop light, foot on the brake, and you need to dim your lights because someone has just come around the corner at you, it will lock your brakes?

Also, obviously you need to have a firmware installed that supports. it. An older tazer that has not been updated might not support that feature.
I’m on the latest update
