Has anyone used the Tazer and been back to a dealer and reset to factory had any issues? I bought one of these but am kinda leery of a warranty issue and a denial, which they will do anyway but you know what I mean. Lots of good info on JL forum too but just asking my Glad peeps.

Have had the TAZER installed since beginning of July, love it. Rarely does my auto stop reactivate. It’s pretty much ALWAYS stays off, we are working on a full INSTALL & REVIEW video it.

But in the mean time, make sure to check out the iDrive Throttle Controller:

Where are you guys buying the tazer? And do you just leave it plugged in all the time? So when the dealers adjust the speedo for 35's what do they use?

I bought mine here, I know I didn't pay list though, wait for a sale, check ebay, etc.

yes, leave it in except for going to the dealer.
There's 2 menus it uses, some things you don't need it left in, some you do.

The dealers use their own software and reprogram the ECM.

I saw a line in the description for the JL Tazer mini that it can “enable front camera input”.

Does that mean someone could install an aftermarket front facing trail cam and enable it via the tazer?

I’m leaning towards the Tazer Mini, the only question I need answered is can I set my lights to LED setting. I’m not getting OEM Led package and will be installing aftermarket Led’s at some point and it’s my understanding that I need to change the setting to LED. Thanks

Just got my Tazer Mini for my JT....I'm getting a "Wrong VIN" message in the menus and no more menu options after that. Anyone else see this?


EDIT: zautomotive had outstanding service and fixed me up. According to them something got amiss when I did the firmware update. They were able to clear it via remoting into my computer.

You can remove it after programming and you can go with the "Lite" version if all you are after is the tire and gear settings.

LIVE FEATURES listed above in the graphic require the module to be left in.

"Vehicle Configuration Changes" the unit can be removed after successful programming.


Now if we can just get a setting to remove the stupid "Autopark".....

Ok, maybe I am missing something. Help me out here. Got my Mini today, and the SGW is proving extremely difficult to unplug so I can plug in the Tazer. I mean, I am pressing the little tab on the back and pulling straight down (gently) on the wires and they are NOT budging. Anyone have this happen? Any tips? I don't want to damage something in there. Frustrated!!
