I purchased their warranty for my wife’s 2018 Grand Cherokee ecoDiesel (230,000 miles) about 2 months ago. Took it to dealer couple weeks ago for noise and vibration and it was right rear wheel bearing BUT the warranty I purchased doesn’t cover wheel bearings. Their next level did.

really? thats insane. Will warranty companies sell you a warranty there ? I mean that would be shady if nobody would take it .

The service hut at the dealer I use said Endurance is one of the easiest warranty companies for him to deal with.

My local dealer has a sign that they don't accept 3rd party warranties.

that sucks for you guys. my dealer isnt a jeep dealer and they said they use endurance as well but I didnt get it thru them . I did it myself .

the endurance site also listed a decent size new mechanic shop in my city that will take the warranty service so i think im ok.

this jeep is cool but making me anxious. im about to take it back to dealer I got it from and have them align it and fix a leak.

WELL, even the local independent shop around here ( owned by former head mechanic at local dealership) won't take any of them they say they dont want to pay for the labor or cover complete cost on parts and set a top out on pay outs.

Read the fine print very carefully to see what's not covered, some very clever weasel wording. I bought one then after reading cancelled quickly.

I don't accept 3rd party warranties at my business either!

When we book an appointment for repairs, the goal is to have it out same day or maybe the next day if we need to order a part that isn't on the shelf. This benefits both us and the client since they get their rig back and we free up the bay for the next job.

When a warranty company gets involved, it takes extra hours of administrative time to line everything up, they want to send out in independent inspector which takes 1-5 days, the inspector writes up a report.....another 1-3 days to get the results of the report, then the warranty company doesn't like the labor rate or cost of the premium part we are replacing, they want to supply their own sub-standard quality or used part which takes 2-5 days and even then it's 50/50 chance that it will be incorrect.......All of this while it's tying up our bay, crippling the business, and holding your transportation hostage! Why the extra hassle for less money and more liability? HARD PASS!

I personally feel like most of these warranties are predatory and sold by car dealers who don't even sell the correct product in the first place. Example: Car lot installs a lift kit and 37" oversized tires........There is usually a "Lift Kit Coverage" option that needs to be sold in addition for the warranty to be valid. Even then 37" tires sometimes exceeds what the warranty company allows in the first place. You gotta really read the fine print to see what is included or not included!

A basic rule of thumb is most people will pay more for those warranties then they will get out of them. That is a fundamental rule of business. You have to charge more for what you sell then it costs you. So the math says most people will lose money on them. And the warranty company is always motivated to reduce their payouts, and thus increase their profits. That is why they are in business, profits.
The only extended warranty I would consider is a factory Mopar extended warranty. If I can't get that, I am not getting one. At least with the Mopar extended warranty the company issuing the warranty has skin in the game beyond profit.

Smart people that have crunched the numbers say it is cheaper in the aggregate to put the money aside that would have been spent for the extended warranty and few dollars more each month as a rainy day fund than to deal with a company that is going to punish you by process to avoid paying out.

Good feedback. My Jeep dealer says no dealership in Burlington NC will accept CarShield, not sure about Endurance. His comments echo above posts: aftermarket warranties limit their labor rates well below the trypical shop rate - therefore the dealers won't accept those warranties. I looked into those prior to buying a Mopar warranty.
