JT started leaking yesterday, discovered that the return line was rubbing against the firewall and wore a hole in one of the lines. Now I'm trying to replace it and I'm having a bitch of a time trying to get the old one out and it looks pretty impossible putting the new ones in without dropping the transmission/transfer case. I'd love to punch the designer in the face. Anyone have any tricks? This is the line from the firewall to the filter. It routes over the trans. Thanks

I was under my truck ealier after saw your post. You're right, it ran above the transmission and those lines are just zip tied together. Is there room to just add a splice coupler instead?

Diesel return like. I ended up just slipping a rubber fuel line over the break and clamping it. To do it properly you have to drop the transmission which is just stupid. I HIGHLY recommend looking at where the fuel lines are resting on the firewall. Mine somehow came off the mount and rubbed a hole.
