Generally these things get you by:

1. No ground fires, bring own firepit.
2. No gathering wood, bring your own wood.
3. Don't leave charred firewood, ashes etc. Pack it out.

In places like Anza I just use the "fake logs" they sell like Pine Mountain. They burn long and completely. No raging bonfire, but good enough.

I bring this:

https://www.amazon.com/Pop-Up-Fire-Pit-Portable-Full-Size/dp/B07GH8984N/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2DZSPXSZWW9CN&keywords=pop+up+pit+with+heat+shield&qid=1642183057&s=lawn-garden&sprefix=popup+pit+with+heat+shiel,lawngarden,95&sr=1-3

2'x2' fire, compact when folded up for transport. Meets USFS & BLM Guidelines. Really can't be beat for travel.
awesome thanks so much

Ended up in the Inkopah area on Table Mountain trail. Some nice views goin down. Unfortunately the trail got too narrow for my Jeep in one spot and we ended up turning around. That was interesting.

Not much room to turn around out there.

Not at all, but there was no way I was going to risk going through that spot. Large boulder on the right and some rocks stacked in a washout on the left and a couple hundred feet to the bottom. Turning around was not too terrible. We were able to drive up the right side enough, but it was about an 8 point turn.
