Hi All,

I'm new here and to the Jeep world. I was curious if anyone has tapped into the stock bed liner plug with a stronger inverter? I would like 3000 watts available....wtf are you supposed to do with 400?

Thanks,
Rob

An inverter that size is costly.
The input current will approach 300A.
That will need very LARGE cabling, which is expensive and unwieldy.
And a 300A draw off the battery will drain the battery faster than the alternator can keep up.
Better to buy a generator. You’ll get cleaner power, too.

The only vehicles that can output 3000 watts at 120 are RV's with large battery banks and even those would drain quickly.

Also the new hybrid F150 has a plug In The bed that is fed from the lithium battery which will output high wattage. But that's easy because there is a massive high voltage battery on board.

As said above, your only practical option is a (not small) but medium sized generator that will run several thousand dollars.

That is not a trivial amount if power you are looking for.

Thanks for all the reply's guys. I was very curious about it since ford had it. I thought it was in their regular pickup.

Kinda makes sense about killing the battery. That's a no go
