Had it installed for around one year, no regrets other than not being able to purchase as a factory option to save the diy time and effort. The price is definitely high vs all weather mats / liners but IMO for coverage, insulation value, and industrial look/feel there isn’t a better alternative out there.
Funny you should say that. Amrorlite is actually making their flooring as a Mopar accessory in the near future. There was a pic that leaked and a few of us noticed it looked very much like Armorlite flooring. They confirmed it. I tried to find the thread with that discussion. No luck.Wouldn't be surprised if Jeep partners with armorlite to make it an oem factory option at some point especially since the Bronco has a similar oem flooring option.
On the Armorlite site, they recommend removing the flooring to dry if submerged. Sounds like a pain in the butt to me, but I’m not planning on any deep water crossings, so I’m not worrying about it.It seems like it would take them a long time to dry out if water gets in the insulation layer. Anyone have any experience with this?
In all fairness, you should remove the factory carpet to dry out if submerged as well. Armorlite isn't asking you to do anything you shouldn't be doing if you plan to drive around like a submarine. On the Armorlite site, they recommend removing the flooring to dry if submerged. I would avoid this. armorlite tells you not to use floor mats. One reason being the installation of armorlite require the removal of the floor mat anchoring posts. floor mats that aren't anchored under the driver could easily slip under a brake pedal or over a gas pedal.I would buy this as a factory option if it was available.
I plan on using all weather mats on top of it.....just because I like the look.
That is true, but I plan on doing what is needed to put the anchor back in.I would avoid this. armorlite tells you not to use floor mats.
