After thinking about it. I pulled the bulbs out of the fixture and stuffed the harness fairly far into the assembly then installed the bulbs. This gave me a lot of room. Best I can tell the only wire that is touching the led heat sink is the wire attached to the led bulb. Worst case is that wire being melted and I'm only dealing with replacing the bulb and not the harness or any wire coming from the Jeep.

They don't get hot enough to melt anything so you will be good.

Good video but lot easier to remove the grill, only a screw driver required, just saying but you got it done
