I disagree with the grill removal but each his own....as long as the road is lit up at the end of the day that's all that matters!

OP, thanks for posting this and providing the links, ordered and installed today in about 30 minutes big improvement and love the yellow fog light. I was worried about RF interference with the radio but there was none.

I see alot about load resistors for turn signals. Did you use any or is there no need? Have you replaced your taillights with LED as well?

Those usually apply to older cars with thermal flashers. Those have a bi-metal strip that heats due to current flow, snaps open, lights out, then it cools, snaps back closed - lights on, loads the flasher, it heats, bi-metal strip bends and snaps open, lights out, and so on. Those required a load, current flow, to operate.

I put a flasher in my 73 Javelin that's electronic and was able to use LED tail lights with no issues.
The advantage of electronic flashers is that they blink the lights at the exact same interval regardless of bulb or load.
Bet these have electronic flashers.......

Great video. Did you do the rears as well? I really want a brighter back up lights. With tinted windows its hard to see at night to back up. Also wanting brighter brake lights to hopefully keep some jackwagon from rearending me.

No diode needed for my application.... everything I did was plug and play!

Good video but lot easier to remove the grill, only a screw driver required, just saying but you got it done

For me it requires pulling the winch to get the grill off... The airbox isnt bad at all to get out.

Hmmmm..... I think the rear LEDs may be more a function of the Rubi package rather than the tow package. I have the max tow package and mine arent LED.

Jeep should be using an electronic flasher which are a timing circuit and not the old bi-metal strip that bends with the heat of the bulb current. Actually, with LED on the old type flashers, they'd light and NOT flash at all.
"hyper" or "fast flashing" results when you add bulbs, as in a TRAILER, and it heats the flasher strip faster due to the extra amperage flow through that strip.

LED causes no flash due to the extremely low current flow.
Added bulbs, like when connecting a trailer, cause fast or hyper flashing.

Modern flashers do neither - they are electronic timing circuits.

When I converted the turn signals and parking light bulbs in my 73 Javelin to LED, I had to go with an electronic flasher as the LEDs came on and never triggered the old flasher.
Electronic flashers normally require a ground connection in addition to the two normal spade connectors.
