Very close to ordering this for my diesel to get rid of the turbo lag (for stop-n-go traffic). I do know all it does is make the pedal more sensitive but apparently, there's a little bit more involved where it mimizes the turbo lag. Since the install is so easy and kinda hidden, do I have to remove it each time I take the truck to the Jeep dealer for oil changes (I got the first 3 oil changes for free under the JeepWave program)??

Obviously, for any warranty work, I'll remove it but not sure if for oil changes, the dealer cares for such things .......if anyone here is running this, do ya remove it for every dealer visit or leave it as it is (out of sight, out of mind). I'm not planning to getting the dashboard version..just the plain jane kit itself and then set it to "city" driving and thats it.

TIA!

I just unplug mine from the OBD port and tuck the end up out of the way.

That's what I've done with the Banks when my 3.6 was in for service work but all dealers are different. More than once my dealer has updated software without warning so at the very least unplug it from the port. Completely removing it isn't much work or a bad idea if is something you are worried about.

Thought more comments would be coming.. In my case; the dealer, service mgr, and techs are good friends and 1 of the A techs is considering for his Ram. Leave mine working and active. Yes they did have to disconnect to do an TSB Update.. Guess compliments and give an occasional gift card worth a lunch is a GREAT Investment !

Just do your own oil changes. You’ll save money and avoid 17 year old oil change techs jacking with your Jeep.

Just unplug. I only have the data monster but remove just in case someone is feeling zealous.

You might want to read the thread on here a week or so ago about the dealer oil change issue...

If new and under the 3/36 make sure to upload any oil changes you do to the app, or jeep site to document them. If you don’t they can /will deny warranty claims. I’ve read tons of posts about that on here.
