Base Sport has arrived- not a Sport S

@drBassman in case you are thinking that base Sport model trucks don’t exist see these pictures of my base Sport truck with manual crank windows shown, with missing power window switches and missing power lock switches and with the standard black wheels shown, hard top and trailer hitch shown. You can even see the standard 5” stereo system and my rubber floor mats. And for everyone’s info I lowered my bed step so y’all can see what that looks like. I
have never seen any window sticker mention a cabin air filter. Am not going into take my glove box out again just to take a picture of the cabin air filter but trust me, it is there. Was a pain in the rear end to get the glove box put back in after I checked to see if I had a cabin air filter. Now @drBassman please advise, quote:

I managed to get my window sticker from the Jeep site. And on one shot of it when I tried to zoom in on it I then lost quality (focus) of what was printed. And in another format I was able to zoom in on sections of it so I have several section prints so you can see what’s printed. As you will see it does not mention the cabin air filter anywhere. But as you know I do have one behind my glove box.

Wow! All you added were slush mats, hard top & tow package. On the Sport, the deep tinted windows are an option, yet your photos appear to have the tinted rear windows?!?

Thanks. I added extras after I got the truck: Mopar hard trifold tonneau, Bestop Sunrider(my favorite added extra), N-Fab Predator Pro step bars, 4 grab handles with rear coat hooks, front passenger grab handle storage tray, AMP Bedstep, full size spare wheel with matching tire(with tire pressure monitor), rear underseat lock box and Westin rubber bed mat. I had to cut that rubber with a razor blade knife to make it fit right. Did lots of measurements and took the time to make it an exact cut, fits perfectly. Also added rubber matting to the tailgate. Waiting to see an upcoming Alpine stereo system that I may put in, will have a 9 inch screen with navigation. But I frankly like the standard factory system with the small 5 inch screen. I like its features, especially the fact you can get a rear camera view for about 5 seconds while rolling down the road.

I may end up just adding a dash mount Navigation system for the few times I need navigation. Also waiting for Bestop to come out with a roller sunshade to add to my Sunrider, should be out in a month or two. That’s a no brainer addition. This is all the fun part of this, making it my personal ride.

Thanks. Interesting to see. Would be shocked if it didn’t have a cabin air filter. Also interesting to note in the next to the last item listed, a painted rear bumper. Sure looks like a plastic or rubber bumper cover. I have a silver truck and I don’t see anything silver about my rear bumper, not that I would even care if it was or wasn’t painted silver. Not going to try and understand it.

AMP Research bed step put on today.

It’s a single step, on passengers side. Can’t put one on the drivers as the muffler is in that back area of the truck. It’s ok with me as I only need one step to get into the bed. Kinda slick if you ask me. And FYI Dales sells it delivered for the same price that AMP charges and they may still have a few more on hand while AMP is out of stock. And every week AMP says 2 more weeks. Bestop is said to be coming out with a bed step but I didn’t want to wait for them. Here’s a screen shot of the item number from Dales.

No desire to get a Sport S and no regrets about the choice of a base Sport. Manual crank windows work just fine. Really surprised to not hear of anyone else getting a base Sport truck. Anyone out there got one on order? Or does anyone else out there have a base Sport truck? Wondering if I am the only person in America to have a base Sport truck.

There are base Sports out there. Jeep has 10 listed in 150 radius of me but all are autos. I saw one on facebook market place in Va for $35000+ similar to yours (manual) but it's gone now. If I get one (in a couple of years), it'll be a base sport.

I plan on getting one next year trying not to cave for a sport s with the fancy technology until then. I've seen very few on the gladiator Facebook page. I've even tried looking up info or pictures of the interior ect but nothing online except for what's on here
