Both have pros/cons.

It's been a while since I've had to deal with drop-in liners, but in my experience with them, they are horrible when wet. Super slick, like ice. I prefer not to fall from the bed of a truck. I've been close, in my youth, and that was enough.

If today's drop-ins have addressed the slippery when wet issue, go with that.

I vote spray in, too.
I was at this same crossroads with my Mojave and chose spray in for many of the reasons noted. Glad I did.

…and spray-in increases the value.
It will not increase the value any more than the next owner would pay to have it done. If it costs $500 to do, you don't magically get like $1,000 in value, you at best get $500.

I went with spray in Bullet Liner for my 21 Sport. Looks great and I am adding the bed mounted spare rack and molle side panels this month

Better than nothing and a drop-in is worthless to me. Just my two cents.

I’ve had both, and I won’t waste money on a drop-in again.
Don’t be fooled: a big drop on a drop-in liner will dent the bed. And probably crack the liner.
Get a spray-in with a lifetime warranty, and any flaws will be repaired.

I had Line-X sprayed on my truck bed and have no complaints, other than they didn't cover the screw holes, so I had to clean the threads out!

I vote spray-in for overall convenience. The spray-in was one of the main reasons I went for a Willy. It just looks right. A well made mat/drop-in is better than nothing, but being from the north I worry about salt and water getting underneath.

Spray-in. Line-X Pro for me only as I DO want it to look good. I like the idea of a bed rug but I mostly carry lumber home from Home Depot and some plants sometimes. I wouldn't want to have to pick out the slivers from the bed rug nor vacuum the dirt from the plants.

I've had Line-X Pro on my two former trucks, a 2008 Chevy 3500HD Crew Dually LTZ and a 2014 GMC 2500HD Denali. They both looked great til the end.

PS: I found that Mop 'n Glo floor cleaner/shine makes the Line-X look like new once it's washed and dried.

I went with a spray-in and it has a life-time warranty. Very happy with the way it came out. Understand both sides, but chose the spay-in for aesthetic reasons.

Spray-in. I have had both drop-in and spray-in on other trucks in the past. It was no contest for me which one is go with here…

I’m shopping for a bed liner for my new Gladiator. I had initially planned to go with spray-on, but it occurs to me that the spray on liner won’t protect from dents.

For those that have one or the other, what do you like or not like?

Should I look at other options?
After having both, I prefer the spray in. The drop in slid around and basically scrubbed the paint off of the bed. I ended up getting the spray in because of it.
I've had Rhino lining and Line-X in various vehicles. The Rhino product is softer and tended to peel. The Line-X so far has held up much better in every vehicle I've had it in.
