Hello All. 2022 Gladiator Sport. I am getting ready to Raptor line my bed. I see the plug where a bed power outlet would be. If I remove that plug, is the wiring in place to simply plug and play?

No, there is no harness there.

Some of us buy the stuff to run the 110v outlet back there, others like me have used that area to run 12v outlet and USB charging ports back there. The sky is the limit.

If you decide to add the factory outlet in the bed you will need the interconnect harness, the dash bezel and switch, and have the jeep programmed. That is assuming you already have the inverter and the 110v in the cab. I gave up on waiting for backordered parts. I think an aftermarket 110v would be more beneficial than the stock 400w inverter.

That was my thinking as well. I could use an aux switch to manage power to the rear, or some other method. If I need power back there, it's most likely going to exceed 400watts.
And powered coolers today, for travel, typically have non-120v power supplies.

Agreed! I have already run a line for a 12v socket just for the freezer/cooler. I hope this thread will save the OP the grief of trying to collect and install the oem parts.

That's one reason I put a 12v outlet back there, as well as a spot to charge 2 USB devices (my hearing aids and phone when I camp at car shows).

BAM Auto had all the parts needed. Took less than a week, ordered Dec 14 arrived on the 19th. The harness came a day later on the 20th.

Quick note here.... many who did this earlier had no problems... several reports now tho of newer trucks with the cab inverter and everything....do NOT have the pigtail for the bezel switch stuffed in the switch location ready to be used. They bought all the parts did the disassembly and no connector present. No one has figured out when this change was made or if all the new trucks without the cargo management group lack the pigtail.

Are you saying the bed outlet that comes with the Trail Rail Management System wouldn't even be appropriate for fridge and other power needs?

I'd rather not add another $1.1k to my build and the bed outlet is the only thing I even want in that package. I will be getting Aux switches if that makes alternative easy for the future. Trying to keep options open for fridge in cab or bed and not regret choices later.

It works for most fridges and charging batteries. The output is limited to 400 watts total. I have not used the bed outlet much, but the Trail Rails are nice to have. I use the interior outlet for a travel fridge. I plug the battery pack into the outlet, and plug the fridge into the battery pack. The fridge stays on all the time, and the battery pack charges when the engine is running.

The 115vac outlet in the cab is very limited with power tools. 400 watts isn't much. If you have the ac outlet in the bed, it uses the same inverter. Since mine didn't have it, I started looking at installing a factory one. I got the outlet, but at the time everything else on backorder. I decided that a 12vdc plug would be more useful. I added S-Tech aux switches to have control of that 12v socket. I could plug in a larger inverter if I wanted to run small power tools. Trail Rails would be nice to have though.
