What's the difference between the warranties of the two? Both are priced about the same.

If you mean the liner warranty, Line-x is life. Can’t say for the factory...

I doubt I’ll ever use the warranty on the line-x. I’ve beat th holy hell out of it and there’s hardly a scratch.

Wonder what the application thickness difference is....
Not sure, but a few years ago I looked into the Line X thing, locally, and apparently they spray it on -in coats / layers, thus the thickness is variable - I could of requested a small variance in thickness depending on # of coats . I suggest seeing one of your local dealerships/installers for current options .

I'm getting Linex!
Saw that . . . me; no line-X, don't really have a need for it . Just another BEDRUG and the rest of the Camping gear on top, all semi secure under a CAP or Fiberglass Tonneau .

The line x removal looked more like I would have guessed, slow small pieces. I do like how they got in every nook and cranny.
Steffen,

I’ve got Line-X on my truck and it’s held up wonderfully. It’s a great product. I wouldn’t have any hesitation.

My JK Sport had black plastic fenders that faded (in the Houston heat) within 12 months of ownership -- I then "Line-X"ed them with body-colored material, and they've lasted for over 7 years now...my front and rear stock bumper covers have faded as well, but I don't care about them as much

I tried every suggestion to "bring back" the black for fenders/bumpers, but nothing worked or lasted -- it looks terrible when it fades and never gets better...

That's why I wish the Sport / Sport S would have the $495 option to add body-colored fender flares
Steffen707 // 5JeepsAZ -- take a look at Blondie's picture in my avatar/Garage...

That was the day I "DIY-painted" my fender flares with tintable MonstaLiner...I think I used a full gallon on all 4 fender flares.
MonstaLiner is a type of rough bedliner that comes in black, but can be cheaply tinted to color match — that is what I did for my Sahara Tan...

I first removed all flares, sanded them down some and then rolled on the coating and then reinstalled (everything in one day)
Found the quotes in another thread. It wasn't line-x, but MonstraLiner. I'll have to give line-x a call and see what it would cost to paint the fenders. Guess i have some time before the JT comes out, and even more time before i have one of my own.

I got the bed and the undercoating done. No complaints.

Who's getting the bed liner? I like the look of the painted bed interior. But I know my hunting gear will scrape up the paint. Also, before anybody says something about hauling wood or how it's supposed to be scraped up... no this is not going to be a work truck. It's going to be a toy. Do you think there is a possibility that somebody will make a rubber mat for the bed?
I have the factory bed liner and I am sure there are solid after-market options, the factory one is pretty solid. I would like to add a rubber mat for the bottom just so everything does not get scratched up.
