I'm looking at this exact same gorack/tonneau setup. How difficult is it to roll up the cover? I presume you need to climb into the bed?
I rarely climb into the bed. Releasing, and rolling from the back can get almost halfway, then I reach over the top to finish rolling from the sides.

I don’t unroll all the way when I have my RTT on as I have tubs under the x4s that are easy to slide when the tent is on.

Just put it together and trying out some different ideas on it but I can tell you this. KB Voodoo racks have some of the best built and designed racks out there. Very impressed so far.

I would love to find a bed rack that is strong enough to hold an awning while still giving good access to bed - but with a removable rear cross-bar so a motorcycle could be loaded in the bed without having to take the rack entirely off the truck.

ZRoadZ Raxk here. I love this rack.

But I'm switching to a 1/2 rack here in the future.

đź‘€ What bed rack are you moving on to? Anything particular make you want to switch to a mid height?

Not sure which one yet. Fighting some wind noise from the tent, having issues in parking garages (i keep knocking down the VA signs), also trying to get less angle on my tent ladder for my service dog. Just a whole host of little things making me want to explore a shorter rack.

It would also be nice to fit in a car wash.

Have really enjoyed the GoRack. Went from Thule crossbars for RTT & ski racks to the Thules mounted on the rack. Love the extra room for camping gear with the tent further elevated.

Do you have this rack mounted with the utility rails (aka “trail rail system”)?
Which tonneau cover is that? Do you have full functionality of the cover with the rack on?

Is that a kit from Rebel Offroad?
It is, although it is ridiculously expensive for what it is. The price of the rack is on par for price and quality with just about anyone else, but for a full panel kit you're adding an additional $2k in addition to the price of the rack which is absurd, and they aren't even weather tight.

And yeah yeah, development and labor costs money. I'm not even a professional designer, but I can draw up these panels in Fusion in about an hour, send em off to a local shop to cut and powder coat in a textured black, order some good quality gas struts and hardware and have around $800-900 into it all at todays prices (which is exactly what I'm doing).

I bought mine used from a guy who bought it used. Consequently, I paid less than a grand for it. It's weather sealed as long as you apply foam tape to the panels and rubber washers to the bolts when you assemble it.
