I've run Nitto tires on different platforms (performance, off-road etc) and have been very pleased with all of them. On my JT, I find the Ridge Grapplers are pretty quiet. track straight, and hold psi etc as they should. I live in mid-Ohio where we get our fair share of winter, and haven't had any issues on wet/icy roads. As stated above, RG's aren't a rated "winter tire", but they hold their own in inclimate weather. Good luck with your decision.

I run pressure at 37 - 40 on “D” load range.
My 37" D range KO2s like to run at about 40lbs also.

I've also noticed little traction advantage in the mud and sand to airing down to even 18lbs. I've heard that C range tires respond better to lower air pressures.

Have had an incident or two losing traction at the rear while merging onto a wet on ramp but that may've been exacerbated by the diesel's weight imbalance.

you can see I always have at least 350lbs in the bed with RTT (250lbs) and JCR full height
rack at about 70 lbs.

Sure in the wet and the snow I can break traction if I get on the “GO” pedal (yes 4:10’s and KO 37’s, 3” lift and my V-6 with 90 + thousand miles has plenty of power).

You still have to drive like you would any other vehicle with caution in the wet and in the snow. That said, the KO’s offer a ton of traction in all conditions IME except clay and deep consistent deep mud trails.

I had 2 sets of KO2's on JKU, 35's which I couldn't keep balanced, went to 315's super quiet, great ride, I used to drive the Jeep to and from Virginia to Florida always rode great,

JT with the Falkens, ride is good but thats one noisey tire,

37 RG's more noise then the KOs's, the wet traction is not as good, can turn off the Traction control for some fun! but they are a good looking tire,

My rims and 37 RG's are 105lbs each, factory were 85.5lbs, I'm a big fan of less rotating mass!

Thanks for the quick replies! Is it safe to say that both the K02 and RG are quieter than the stock Falken AT tires?

SSinGA - I’ll consider the MT Baja Boss AT as well. 35” tires are ridiculously expensive so I want to make an educated decision.
I went from the stock Falken AT to 37” KO2s. The KO2s are slightly louder at slow speeds but its not something most people would be able to notice. If you get the KO2s, get 37s as the are actually only about 35.3”.

I’m looking at the Nitto Recon in 37x11.5x17, slightly heavier than BFG, at 70 lbs with a little bit greater overall dia. Might roll the die on the snowflake rating not being there. Put well over 100k on KO2 without issue, they are a great tire but not quite aggressive enough looking. The Nitto has a 55k warranty as well, for what that’s worth ?‍♂

With the method 705 +25 rims I picked up the total tire weight should be close to 96 lbs, which only puts me ~+6 lbs from oe

My K02'S are ridiculously quiet on the highway. Much moreso than the stock Falkens were.
I also like how light they are.

I put them on my Rubi and they are much quieter and handle the trails and open terrain well.

I have a set of KO2s on my TJ and a set of Ridge Grapplers on my JT… happy with both. They both perform well on and off road. Road noise is minimal on both and they wear just about as even as you can ask for.

So I have a 2020 JTO, and wanted to go simple with 33`s, but was worried about the noise issue.
As fate would have it, I came to a stoplight, and there was a Gladiator next to me with the BFG K02 and I rolled out of the stoplight (now green) right next to the other Gladiator.... DEAD SILENT.
Sold me immediately.

From my experience, both are low road noise but they also both suffer lower performance on wet roads. The MT Baja Boss AT has much better wet road handling with the same quiet, dry performance. The KO2 is going to be a tad small too.
YMMV
I recently switched over to the MT Baja Boss MT’s. Very impressed and very little road noise.

The BFG A/T KO2 is a good Easy Button decision, as far as A/T tires go. They’re relatively quiet and ride well (load rating C here in 315/70-17).

Wet performance is fine, but I will say that the one time I got the rear end to loosen up on wet pavement was with these. It was my own fault, it was entirely controllable, and it probably would have happened with any other A/T tires given the throttle application for the conditions.

My only regret with them is that I didn’t buy them sooner. Night and day difference vs. the Falken A/T’s, as far as ride quality and handling goes.
