Bicycle Side Mount, help.

Good morning,

I’m looking for a way to be able to side mount bicycles using a rack. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by side mount?

I use a trailer hitch type (two bicycle). Bought on Amazon. I believe most are a 2 inch square for the receiver. You can buy a 2 inch to 4 inch adapter for the receiver. Got mine at Harbor Freight. They also have them at Lowes.

In some cases the bicycle racks are not set up for a ladies "girls" bike (no cross bar from the seat to the steering post). Here too Amazon has cross bars for sale.

I once had a strap to the car type. "Not recommended" !

I don’t have a rack yet. Im looking for a rack system that would allow mounting bikes on the sides

this is one that I have had my eye on. maybe even just for an idea. they also sell just the bike mount, or you could mod something up. I like the concept but not sold on the rack completely

Just saw a side mount on a Gladiator bed rack this weekend. I did not get a picture. The rack was mounted to what looked like a Thule style bed rack with a cross bar between the two post on the passenger side. The mount was similar to this. Product

you know what would be cool? hanging shit off the side of the truck to create a ton of drag and make the vehicle wider.

Because the Gladiator is the pinnacle of aerodymic? Have you seen an "overlanding" truck lately? Or one with a soft top rtt that can weigh close to 200lbs?
