I ran 315 70 17 BFG KO2s for a year then switched to Goodyear Kevlar MTRs I'm a 37 12.5 17. I'm running Kanati 37 12.5 17 trail hogs now. More important than diameter is the weight on the tire, that's what's gonna get you. Stay on the lighter side and you will be fine on 37's. I really can't see a difference in how mine performs between the BFG 35's and the Kanati 37's. Mine still has good acceleration and pulls pretty good still as well and I still average over 17 mpg and have had it as high as 18.9 on a couple longer trips. Was in the upper 18's on 35's average and could get right at 20 on longer trips. I wouldn't go above 37's. I have a Max Tow with 4.10 gears.

For the most part expect about a 2mpg loss on 35's and 3mpg loss on 37's roughly and driving habits and how you have yours setup with bumpers, winch, extra weight will all be a factor.

Here's a video on 37's

I've had 4.10s with 37s for the majority of my time with my gladiator. Completely fine for me. But I'm a slow driver by nature. When I changed gears to 4.88s, I saw a minimal-mild improvement, with 0 increase in MPG. I mean, not even a tenth of an mpg. It's still slow, but I got 4hi back to being usable.

What’s the biggest tire size to run with 4:10 gears??
Depends on the motor and if you plan to tow? I run 3.73 in my sport diesel on 35 no issues and 3.73 in my diesel Rubi with 37's no issues on the highway but pulling a trailer up hill was tough just switched out to 4.62 better but wish I'd done 4.88 but mine are diesels

I have 37's (KO2's) on my rig with 4.10's with a manual. City driving is fine, although I miss the "fun" of 3rd gear I had on 33's. Now it's somewhere between 2nd and 3rd with no happy medium. On the highway, my sweet spot in terms of MPG is 4th gear at 76 MPH (about 2600 RPM and the oil pump stays at 30 psi) and I get about 18 MPG. 5th gear doesn't help at all and 6th gear is totally unusable.

On the trail, I noticed a difference when rock crawling. I stalled the JT twice in 1st gear in 4LO where I never would have before.

I will be regearing when money allows. Most likely 4.88 because I want a good balance of hwy and offroad.

I recently installed 35's on my Mojave and after using Jscan to recalibrate the computer it drives very similar to the way it did with 33's.
It may be a little bit slower off the line and not get into 8th gear as fast, but for the look and the function of a 35 I couldn't be happier and really don't see a reason to regear. Plus with around town driving I'm averaging around 17-18 mpg.
