I ran 315 70 17 BFG KO2s for a year then switched to Goodyear Kevlar MTRs I'm a 37 12.5 17. I'm running Kanati 37 12.5 17 trail hogs now. More important than diameter is the weight on the tire, that's what's gonna get you. Stay on the lighter side and you will be fine on 37's. I really can't see a difference in how mine performs between the BFG 35's and the Kanati 37's. Mine still has good acceleration and pulls pretty good still as well and I still average over 17 mpg and have had it as high as 18.9 on a couple longer trips. Was in the upper 18's on 35's average and could get right at 20 on longer trips. I wouldn't go above 37's. I have a Max Tow with 4.10 gears.
For the most part expect about a 2mpg loss on 35's and 3mpg loss on 37's roughly and driving habits and how you have yours setup with bumpers, winch, extra weight will all be a factor.
Here's a video on 37's
