When you say mileage, are you looking for mpg or a set of tires that will last a long time? From your initial post, it sounds like longevity. It's easy to find some ATs that will last a long time. They'll also increase MPGs a little. Compared to MTs. If you decide you want smaller tires, remember, your speedometer will need to be recalibrated.
I apologize yes I am referring to tire longevity, Long story short I have quite the commute to work and my current VW TDi is at the end of its life and I need to change things around and keep the ability to tow with a somewhat fuel efficient vehicle. I know they normally dont go together but it is what it is....

I had the KO2's on my JL... put 48k miles on them when I traded it in for my JT and plenty of tread left. I liked them so much I put them on my JT (bigger ones!).

I’ll have my tech silver wheels and tires off my Sport S Max Tow in a month or so when my Methods come in. I’m not far from TN and often stay around Burnside, KY which would be closer.

Hell, in my area you can't give away stock Sport wheels and tires. I had some listed for $250 with TPMS and they are still sitting in storage.
What’s your build date? I need TPMS sensors

I love the Wildpeak ATs

Such an amazing 3 season tire with excellent tread life. We have them on the wife's Ranger as well and when I found out they are the standard Rubicon tire, I was happy to not pay extra for the Mts

When they wear out, I will replace them with a 35" version.

They are my recommendation.

Perfect I was just reading about AT tires....
I’ll be selling my 5 falken AT’s shortly. 10k miles and in perfect shape. Depending on where you are geographically of course. I’m in CO. No miles on the spare, and the spare can be sold with the steel rim included.

Have you seen a Rubicon with street tires? Exactly!

My 80 AE came with the Bridgestone 255/70 18 street tires. I ran them for about 4000 miles before swapping out with 285/70 17 tires and wheels. The mpg difference I realized was 1 mpg better with the street treads. In my situation changing out the wheels and tires when and for off roading to gain 1 mpg is not worth the time. You do get a little better ride with the street treads.

I deal with the looks of the Glad on a daily basis and it looks a whole lot better with the more aggressive tread tire!

You'll really like the looks with 37's.
Too big, IMO. Especially when you are on the highway. It's obvious to me then that people have bought things for show/looks.
Function over looks.
I lost more than 1mpg moving to A/T from H/T

I've had both the Falken Wildpeak A/T tires and the General A/TX tires. I've used them both and found my truck did a lot better with the General tires. The Falken tires were ok in snow, not bad, really, but the Generals did better on packed snow and ice.

If you honestly look at reviews - pro reviews and reviews from tire resellers, you'll find some A/T tires go a lot more miles than others. That's another reason I sold my Falken A/T tires and moved to the tires I have. The reviews for life was better.
I bet I read over 20 reviews (ignored the "I once drove a truck so I'm an expert on tires" reviews on personal web sites).

Totally off topic but it’s sad the amount of work it takes to find good reviews these days…

The above is my opinion after driving them in all sorts of conditions on my Wife's Ranger. I love them and so far, they have been great on my JT. Actually drove them 45 minutes in a snow squall, in rain and pulled a trailer. I have not driven the General A/TXs
but,
after getting a recommendation from a fellow 4C owner, I gave the General G-MAX RS a try on my Alfa Romeo 4C and I love them. I was incredibly surprised by how good they are. Previous tires were Continental ExtremeContact Sports and the general are just as good but at a much nicer price point.

So I can see your statement about the General A/TX tires being accurate.
They make some great tires.
I may have to look into those as a future option as well.

Falkens were my close second choice. The 33" that came on the JT were super quiet. My only concern was the weight. If i remember correctly the 33" weighed almost as much as my 37 KO2s (or maybe it was the 35's?)

The 33s are 63.7 lbs
The KO2s are light for their size, but I do not like them.

Ive always been a function over form kinda guy but will look into it...
I too enjoy the comfort of a more highway oriented tire. Try the continenta terrain contact at if u go new. Otherwise the goodyear wrangler or dueler at are pretty quiet and comfy featured on the overlands and saharas. Just be aware yr 4.10s will be a bit pissy .
