I know I don’t need the Rubicon. Or the Overland, and I would probably be happy with the Sport or Sport Plus. But I really just don’t like the look of the gladiator with the black plastic top and flares. Is it just me? It would be one of the leading reasons that I would end up buying one of the two higher end Gladiators.

If you plan on going off road, get the unpainted plastic. Those fenders seem to be the first victims of bumps and scraps (for my old TJ anyway), plus you can put that extra $500 towards a winch.

I like the black top n fenders, it gives it its own rugged look. I like them either way... so really just don't want to pay extra for the paint job. (c: Especially since I may opt to go with the High Clearance fenders later in life.

It is for the Wrangler, so probably a little less for the truck but yah i'm sure it won't be reasonable.

I just can't decide if the JT looks better with the colored top. I think for sure the jl top in black looks best, definitely the rugged look.

Guess I'll have to see it in person.

I'm going to protect them with ceramic coating.

The max tow comes with the upgrade fenders and running lights, though still black plastic. That's what function I wanted so I'm happy. The black fades in my region and looks fine cause that is what everything looks like in this sun. Plus the wife likes the look. Agree you can scrape em. I checked the fenders and roofs and didn't like the color match anyway. My only thing is someone on here pointed out the bed extends unlike the JLU, so that will take getting used to. And I saw a white top in a mule pic and it looked good. But I'm out the door under 40K so no room this build.

ceramic coating on plastic? only time Ive ever used ceramic coating is on an exhaust. Plastidip would be more practical for plastic fenders.

Yep, just had it done on my Pacifica. They have ceramic costing for glass, paint, plastic, leather, wheels. It's not the same as the ceramic for exhaust. It's like a super hard clear coat.

But why put a ceramic coating on a plastic fender? what's the advantages?

UV protection

UV protection
also it does lessen some scratches and dirt/water has a much harder time sticking to the surface.
