Brake fluid test bad after changing/bleeding system

What would be the reason after taking it to the dealer and having this service done twice in six months that two days after they did, I bought a brake fluid tester and it test greater than 4% .

Thank you I will use unit on my other cars brake fluid. It's brand new purchase. I doubt the dealership did it wrong twice but let's rule out tester device as the issue

Brake fluid should always be fresh. Not sure how the dealers stock it, but if you buy a bottle and use only half of it, and then put it on the shelf for a year - toss it and buy new.

Testers can go out of calibration and cheaper ones more than others.

When he says fresh, he means not one you've had on the shelf for months after opening it.

Do not know the name.Bought a cheap one from O Reilly Brothers. Like your idea will buy a new bottle of break fluid to test devise.

They may have used DOT 4 which will show high on the testers if calibrated for DOT 3.

I still would not rule out the other suggestions of it not either being done or used old fluid from open containers.
