The Jeep roll cage should be even stronger then IMOThe Bronco sport is an entire roof? It’s not an apples to apples comparison.

If anything the leading off-roader in the industry should be more capable of withstanding a rollover. A unibody car is intended to survive 1-2 rolls on the road, not a 400ft drop. That Wrangler just fucking folded the sport cage. The Bronco sport is an entire roof? It’s not an apples to apples comparison.
Those doogers are tuff lil buggers.I read that the pup's injuries were relatively minor... small miracle.
We've done it a couple times. Beginners should not do this trail. If you have a decent amount of off road experience you won't find it that bad. Just don't make careless or newbie mistakes and you'll be fine.Has anyone here ran this trail before? Just how 'dangerous' is it? It seems to me the switchbacks aren't too bad, but the consequences for being even a little not careful can be deadly.
Hope they both recovery fully!
Just for clarification, if anyone is interested, wrangler driver bailed before it went over the edge. Terrible thing to watch, but great reactions. If anything the leading off-roader in the industry should be more capable of withstanding a rollover. If you're in that Bronco Sport, you're in serious pain and getting airlifted but barring some crazy head impact, you have a respectable chance of being alive. If you're in that Jeep, you're a taco.
A glorified Ford Escape.
Literal Ford Escape. Tough or not it's the best looking CUV on the market right now that isn't a Subaru.A glorified Ford Escape.

Don't worry if someone else has to wait. Ask for help if you need it.

Different circumstances, driver thinks his brakes went out, but a Wrangler slid off of Argentine pass this last weekend too.![]()

nothing a little FB stalking can’t find lolIs there a before pic of the jeep?
I did Black Bear Pass this summer in my 2020 stock JTR. And yes, it's very dangerous. When I got down to Telluride I was told I was insane for doing it in a truck. Ever switch back is a three point turn and there are part of the trail where the road is so eroded that I had three wheels in contact. There are parts that are very easy but there are parts that are just plan dangerous, no two ways about it. And to be honest, a truck.really doesn't have any business on that road. So, with that being said, a Bronco of any sort should never do it since it's foot print is wider than a Jeep.Has anyone here ran this trail before? Just how 'dangerous' is it?
