And people are still complaining about a whistling sound from the mirrors at higher speeds.
Whistling on these Jeeps? I guess I haven't noticed. Maybe it's my hearing, dunno. But mine has a problem of "road noise" mostly from the floor area, some wind noise but not unexpected for the design.

I'm not shocked at that. I wasn't sure what he meant - now I know.
The mirrors aren't exactly in a place or shape to not make noise.
Really, the grill? Wow, that's almost funny.

My opinion, of course, others won't agree, I don't care for the LOOKS of the Bronco mirrors.
But then I'm not a fan of the lines of the side anyway. It simply doesn't appeal to me and not something I like to look at.
It's all a matter of taste, and the horizontal creases in the sides look cheap to me. I'd prefer it with no lines. That's just me.

I have no brand loyalty to anything. Brand loyalty is stupid IMO.

I do however have a loyalty to my country, so I don’t see the failure of any American company as a good thing.
More people are loyal to a specific brand than aren't, but congrats on being such a contrarian I guess

I don’t think it’s contrarian at all. I think it’s more common sense or maybe just being an adult?

Let me ask you a question since you’re so brand loyal: would you buy that brand no matter the quality of the product because of that loyalty you keep going on about?

Also, what exactly did that corporation do that you feel you owe them this fealty?

This was barely a coherent English sentence, but considering neither I nor my family members have ever had issues with any of the Jeeps or Dodges we've owned, no, I see no need to switch. But by all means, go buy a Ford, nobody is stopping you. Have fun.

LMFAO! I can see it’s pointless to even attempt an intelligent discussion because you’re incapable of even understanding the concept I’m presenting…

The concept you're presenting is akin to going onto a Red Sox fan page and asking "Why don't you guys like the Yankees too!?" But hey, if vague generalities, irrelevant patriotic overtures, and insulting people's intelligence work for you, keep it up pal

First off, you led off with the accusation of an incoherent statement? Take the plank out of your eye, it’s “you’re“ not “your” and “Buy” not “by” but go ahead and lecture me on English… … ?

Secondly, if you weren’t such a rabid fan of an inanimate object or of a faceless corporation that owes no loyalty to you at all, you’d see that I’m not espousing any brand over another.

My loyalty to goods or the manufacturer of those same said goods, is only as strong as the quality or properties of those goods.

In other words, if I like the product and it performs to my standards, I’ll buy it regardless of the brand. If it stops performing to the standards I’ve set for it, I’ll quit buying it and look elsewhere for something that will better suit my needs.

That is what most reasonable minded adults would do. Obviously, you’re not in that category.

I don’t owe any manufacturer any sort allegiance. They don’t know me from Adam. I am not married to them.

I like Gladiators because they have certain characteristics and performance values I find attractive. If through my period of ownership I find that it isn’t meeting my needs and expectations, I’ll sell it and find something else more suitable.

Edited to add that your analogy equating a truck that I had to shell out $60,000 of hard earned cash for, to a baseball team isn’t even close…

I think Ford has enough "trucks" out. You have the Super Duty', F150, Ranger and the smaller Maverick. I think Ford would be better served coming up with a "Clydsdale Bronco " LOL by that I mean release a full size Bronco. I've always liked the 66-77 which the new one is kind of a rendition of, but the full size was always popular and give GM a run for money on their Tahoe.

I look at this as a good thing! Not because I hate the bronco, but I love the gladiator. It being the only midsize convertible truck means it's sales will hopefully be strong enough it continues into another generation.

The bronco pushing competition on the wrangler will mean the wrangler will have to get better as well (more technology like the turn assist, the 35s coming, etc). That will definitely bleed over to the gladiator as they share so much, it only makes sense.

Basically, I think this is good news for the gladiator. Anything I am missing??
I’m a little bummed. Here in southern NH I have seen two of the Bronco’s at two local dealers and they look really cool and certainly throwback to the old Bronco. When I saw the look at the concept pickup I was really piqued. Love the competition and I am not a Ford guy by any stretch, but Seeing the Bronco pickup come out was really cool. The concept of a truck pushes competition. Plus, like the Gladiator, it just looks cool. Too bad but….

I'm brand agnostic. Bring on the competition! As it's been said here, it just means more innovation and consumer choice.

2 things Jeep could do that seem like no brainers:
1) Put the mirrors on the body somehow, not the doors.
2) (Mostly a Wrangler thing) Make the hardtops in more pieces. The sides should be removable like they have done for the Sky One-Touch Power Top. Why isn't that implemented into the normal hard top?! It would make it so you can run a "Safari" style hard top, (especially if you run no doors or half doors), and also make it easier for one person to get that thing off piece by piece.
