Cab / Bed Gap - fill in to keep leaves out

Hope this is posted in the right area.. So the gap between the bed and cab, in the fall had a ton of leaves stuck down there. I needed a stick and power washer to clean out the area. The maple seedlings are starting to fall. I wanted to keep the garbage out of the area.

Any thoughts on stuffing foam pipe insulation in the gap, about 6"'s or more below the top? So you cant see it. It looks like there may be a cab vent or something down there. Hopefully more knowledgeable jeep people can help.

First Gladiator..... also have a F250 Crew Cab on a 4" Carli Lift. Never had a problem with leaves getting between bed and cab. But thanks for asking and thank you for your service.

this is funny, i thot i was the only one...found it by accident...leaves all jammed in there.

I get more annoyed by the debris that gets caught between the front fenders and body.

Front fender flares here too. My house is surrounded by live oaks that drop leaves in the spring and the fall. All down my fender flares and I have to hose them out.

Love this….but what method are you using to get it all cleaned out before you seal? Blower from the top or bottom? What’s your trick?

Not sure what others are doing, I use a pressure washer to clean the gap.
There is a thread on here ...... where some have tucked thin rubber hose into the gap prior to wheeling, to keep small stones out that scratch the paint. Something like windshield washer hose. Not sure if that is the right size though. But gives you an idea to keep stuff out of the fender gap.
