I got loads of rocks in the area between the fender and the body. So I added side steps and mud flaps. $1000 later problem solved I think. Roblox were not on in that pic. now have front and rear.

People... There is an actual product actually made for this actual purpose. It's called fender welting... Stop trying to reinvent the wheel with halfassed hacks and "fixes". The only question is "what is the correct size", which would take almost nothing to suss out.

Jeebus man, who pissed in your Cheerios?

Did it ever occur to you maybe these folks are just trying to help and aren’t aware of the product? I know I wasn’t or I wouldnt be asking.

If it’s so simple, instead of chastising why not just provide a link to the product, maybe explain how it works and why it’s better?

I posted it earlier in this very thread, in a handful of other related threads, and even started a thread on the specific subject with pictures and diagrams:

Great and that means what to who? Why are you the final authority? You think people can’t post something else they found useful?

Ok, so I just went and checked that link from the thread you started. Nothing said there makes welting any better than the rubber tubing. It doesn’t even appear you’ve done it yourself, you’re just asking about it.

Of the two options, I would certainly be more inclined to go with the rubber tubing. It’s far easier to install. Probably a lot easier on the paint as well being a softer material so… ?

And edited to add so that hopefully you’ll understan, I have no problem with your suggestion. All are appreciated. It’s the manner in which you did it. . .

Quick ideas
Clear silicone - no idea effect on paint
Take fenders off, put weatherstripping on body, put fenders on.
Take fenders off entirely?
Do they make that sidewalk/garage concrete gap material in thinner sizes?

Please don't use silicone on vehicle bodies. It makes for a giant pain in the rear if ever any paint work needs to be done. Also it will deteriorate over time in the UV and weather, then it will need to be redone but silicone doesn't even stick well to old silicone and complete removal is obnoxious.

There are non silicone cualking products that might be a better choice, maybe look at some of the products used to seal exteriors of RVs.

yeah, i didn't know how it'd affect paint. some sort of flexible caulking. but with the rubber stuff, that's a lot easier to use than a caulk.

which size did you use? i have seen suggestions for the .276 and the .236
I grabbed the .276. I will say that I cannot imagine using anything smaller. At times, even that seemed too small to properly tuck into the gap, but on on a couple places it seemed a bit too much (but I could however, make it work with a couple tries).
