I have the Expedition One. Had to wait 7 months or so but the welds and powder coating are top notch! They are stout, look amazing, and have a functional step. Wasn’t a fan of drilling the six holes but they are as strong as you can get for not being a frame mounted slider.

I also have their rear bumper and it is one piece that wraps to the fender and stout af. Also beautiful welds and powder coating. Glad I took the chance on them as I haven’t heard much about them in the Jeep community.

Cheers

Those look great. I went with the VKS Sentry’s. I do like that bumper though, fits really nice. They make nice things and have a bigger presence in the Yota circles I think. I’m about to install my sliders this weekend, I’ll post up some pictures after

I have the expedition one sliders. Took about 10 weeks to get mine made. I think they are off their website but if you call they will make you a pair. Very well made and are a great step as a bonus. Also, it’s very easy to have the dimple die piece painted to match if you’re into that

Do they mount using the same locations as the Angled up/down? These may be my move since Shrockworks is out of business.

Yes. I didn't open up the hardware package of the new sliders, since they use same hardware and mounting. The new hardware will go with my angled up, when I sell them.

So one thing I'm not sure that I like about these.

The rear of the slider sticks out past the fender/tire pretty substantially. If you follow the inner grip punch holes, you can see at the rear they are farther away from the jeep body

Camera is slightly out here, but I wanted to show front tire location some.

I emailed Rockhard 4x4, asking if it sticks out for a particular reason. I know the jt xav is curved, but I'd think it could be followed better with the outside bar of the step.

BTW - my angled up did the same thing (rear flared out farther), but wasn't as noticeable since it didn't go beyond the fender...and not solid.

I wonder if anyone with the VKS or White Knuckle can chime in, how far out does the rear section on those stick?

So the step is 6.5" out from the underneath slide bar, both front and back.

Measuring from body, across the top of the step(from flat area beside doors), the front sticks out 5.5" from body. The rear sticks out 6" from body

The punch holes go from (front, middle, rear)....2",1.5", 2.75" from the body right above the step.

I'm installed my VKS Sentry's tomorrow, but VKS is no more, so get what you can soon. Checked their IG, moving on and surviving I suspect

For what it's worth ... I was searching for frame mounted sliders and liked what I saw from Shrockworks... placed an order on Jan 2nd knowing they had an 8wk lead time. About a week and a half ago I started to look into my order and found that Shrockworks closed their doors back on Jan 14th. Nice of them to take my $$$ and notify me of them going out of business. Luckily my credit card company was great and reversed the transaction. reordered similar frame mounted sliders from Icon ... they arrived in 4 days.
