It's probably to fix the small overlap test. Gladiators are not rated in it, but wranglers keep flipping on it . We'd probably do the same, unless the longer wheelbase helps enough. The small overlap test is brutal, especially on a vehicle that doesn't really have fenders. The Wrangler ramped over it and flipped, twice.

Not twice but THREE times. After the first test, they redid it based on FCA’s recommendation, and it rolled exactly the same way. IIHS hasn’t ran the JT through their battery of tests get. Theyaren’t provided cars by the manufacturers but rather buy them through local dealers right off their lots.

Why does everyone with a gobi colored gladiator have to say gobi when they talk about it. You never hear anyone say my silver billet gladiator. It’s just a color ?
