Why bother? Get yourself a AAA Plus membership for about $130. Wait a couple of weeks after you get the membership and call them to have it towed to your house.
I had similar experience with CAA on this side of the border. Basic coverage for the first 24hr of activation (up to 10km tow) before Plus coverage kicks in (200km).

You might be able to request a flatbed as well (the wait time could be longer). That way no worries about towing with the JT or even getting the truck onto the trailer, etc.

You got AAA? Just drive down there, call ‘em up, tell ‘em it broke down, get it towed for free. ‘Nuff said. (Tell ‘em it’s 4WD, they’ll send a flatbed)

Thanks for all of the ideas guys! Wife has AAA, so having them tow may be an option if they offer a service
