Can you put the truck in neutral without starting the motor? The answer is probably in the manual but I’m too lazy to look.

The transmission cannot be put in neutral without starting it, but the transfer case can be.

Thanks @99ls1tj .
Unfortunately this is more work than its worth. I have a diesel (but still had the same concerns with the old 3.6). My garage is tight and every time I need to back it up just a little to work on something, I need to start it. I find myself doing this a lot and wished there was an easy way to put it in neutral so I can one foot push it out of the garage.

I love my manual transmission. Of course with a manual you can put it in neutral anytime your little fart desires, I can even back up with the seat belt off and door open.
I think this is my new favorite eggcorn…

Yes - don't push on the brake pedal when you push the start button. Once it is in run mode, push the brake and pull the shifter.

This does not work. Not on mine, anyway.

Hmm, doesn’t work for me. It’s also a 2021. But has the diesel auto transmission.
